The gyms are super easy to beat but sooo hard to keep, which makes sense I guess. I can't keep any for longer than a day. This seems to be the case. I just lost a gym to stupid yellows (RED 4 LIFE) and I went out at 8pm in pajama pants just to get it back. xD (Sorry CatCreature haha) But another red must have passed by cause they joined in to help defend. The first time I put a really low CP one but now I put my 2nd best. I just want the 24 hour bonus. Is it for everyone in the gym, or only the owner? Hey, while I don't play Pokemon Go, I love Pokemon and know how important such things are. All is forgiven. xDDDD

Spent all day with about 35+ other Valors using lures at a place where 3 pokestops are all in reach. Covered in mosquito bites but it was awesome. Some Mystics and Instincts showed up but if they wanted to stay, they had to all use their lures. >.> They did.
Two different police passed by and watch. It had to be weird for a huge group of people to be standing around in a circle in the place of town no one goes.
I finally see how some people around here are lvl 28+. Hopefully we'll do it again soon, it was a quick way to level.
There's also a gym right next door to our new house. >.> Collected coins or not, I will kill anyone who tries to take it.
Anyone else go out in a big group?

^ it happened by accident here haha It was surreal.
I was out with a friend in the center of the city in this TINY park and we saw two pokestops with lures so we quickly headed that way and dang, there were a HUGE amount of people, the whole center of the park was occupied by people from which around 80% were playing pokemon go.

Haha that's awesome. There's a lot of small places here getting crowded too.
Got kicked out of a campus cause the gathered crowd got too big. xD Think we'll stick at our old place. I'm completely sunburned but it's awesome meeting new people and all helping each other level. I'll be level 30 in no time.

I'll admit I was too lazy to go to a Pokestop so I deleted the game before I ran out of Pokeballs and tried to buy more with real money xD
Also never found a gym :/ I would have picked Team Valor but oh well. It's a fun game still but I don't really want to use up all my shared data. It's not like my account is deleted though so I'll still have that.

It does suck for those who don't live in a city who can't get gyms or Pokestops. I can't count how many stops we have in a five mile radius, and there's a lot of gyms too. There's one next to the new house we bought.
I was surprised how little data it does use, but then again I think we have 50 GB of data since we're on a company plan. It's split between a handful of people but no one really uses it.
Since you at least would have picked Team Valor, then you're awesome. :D
Hoping for new features soon cause it's getting repetitive. Or at least make attacking a gym harder.

I have two Pokestops that I can see from my house, I'm just too lazy or embarassed to go haha. One is the city sign and if I were to drive there there's no where to park but in someone's driveway (plus we are missing a lot of sidewalks and places to walk in my city if I wanted to do that). But one Pokestop is extremely close. I think I'd go more if I didn't have to cross over the railroad tracks xD It's possible I can stand in someone's front yard and still use the Pokestop but I don't know. I'm hoping the hospital is a Pokestop haha. I'm sure certain shopping centers nearby must be loaded with them. Overall someone already caught them all so that's cool. I guess I just don't feel like going to the beach or downtown to catch them. So goodbye Pokemon, I'll see you again when Sun and Moon come out or when I go back to Alpha Sapphire because I still can't catch Kyogre haha.

We are less than a month away from the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon! I haven't played the demo version, although I have been keeping up with the new Pokémon designs and am looking forward to start this new adventure^^.
I'm still debating about which starter Pokémon to choose thoughxD. I'm torn between Popplio or Rowlet. I guess I'll just have to wait until they reveal their final evolution forms before deciding on one.
Anyone else excited about these new games?=D

I've seen their final evolution forms leaked in a video...let's just say I am VERY unhappy about Rowlet and Litten's final forms. (They look like bulky, fighting-game style men...the freaking heck. -.- ) I'm not THRILLED with Popplio's final form, but I certainly like it better. Looks like I'll be ditching Rowlet (I was getting so fond of him too...) and going team Popplio. Luckily Popplio was my second choice anyway, so I'm glad I can still pick one I like! If you're interested, this is the video I saw. It should be able to play right in the thread here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=552iXAaP800

I guess people found all the sprites in the game demo and ugh, the final forms. My opinion is basically the same as Catcreatures.
Litten I like up until the final form. Why does he look like a wrestler dude? Rowlett reminds me of an angsty teen or some sort of mysterious movie archer lol. And Popplio is pretty but way too humanoid for me? It makes me think of a selkie (a seal in the water who sheds her pelt and becomes a girl on land) if a selkie were a seal mermaid.
So I'm pretty critical of them but I don't know. Not going to lie I don't like the legendaries on the box art either xD they're too robotic for me.
Anywho, I'll probably get Moon. My friend and I like to get different versions so I think she's getting Sun.

^ I pretty much agree about everything you said, except I love Lunala, the legendary for Pokemon Moon! I decided to get that game just because I like that legendary too much. xD It looks really cool!

I agree with everything Rebecca said... Rowlet and Litten started out so good, then got SO BAD. Popplio turned out better than I'd expected, it's not entirely my style but I am definitely picking Popplio now. I'm looking forwards to more of that pokémon finder (or whatever it is called) stuff though. It might not be the Pkmn Snap rerelease I yearn for, but I hope it captures some of that feeling haha.

Arie I haven't heard of the Pokemon finder stuff. For the sake of conversation (and cuz I'm tired as heck and finally going to sleep) what details do we have on that? Then again...are you talking about a feature from this game, or is this some other release?

It's a feature in Sun/Moon! The thing where you have to take a picture of a pokémon... not many details yet besides what little there is of it in the demo.

I know this is an old thread but look who FINALLY got a phone that can run Pokemon Go! I tried it out when doing a food run. It took me an embarrassingly long time to work out how to hit a pokemon with the balls... I'm Valor because FIIIRREEE. As for Sun/Moon, I cried, and cried some more. Started with Litten and I have to admit Inciniroar grew on me. I was disappointed to see another biped, but I've started picturing it as being like a werewolf and dropping to all fours to run, being able to switch from one to the other easily. I did a sketch of how it looks in my head. Also mine is Timid, which is just so horribly cute somehow, imagining this huge hulking weretiger hiding behind me.
