To be honest I don't think the breed matters that much, there are always people who prefer a certain breed over another. People like unique petz: high generation purebred non inbred, mixies with pretty color combinations, special markings, minis, OWs seem pretty popular too at the moment, good luck!

I rarely buy purebreds, I know some people like to buy non-inbred purebreds but I myself prefer mixies, anything unique looking! I like dachies and labs, things with swapped ears and coats, and cat-wise, I like tabby and RB mixies!

Yeah, definitely mixies. As far as those breeds go, anything will sell depending on how nice it is, but depending on the breed, sometimes you can sell something more simplistic, other times it has to be over-the-top (mismatched coats, tail, ears, markings galore, etc). That also depends on the person, but it depends on what's been available in the market. For example, chinchilla persians. Some people have none, but want them. Since they are so scarce at times, people will settle for those that aren't particularly flashy so long as they are nice and meet their requirements. However, when you have a breed such as a dali or a tamsin, that has or was VERY popular, there are tons already in existence, and since they are a staple breed in almost anyone's crew, people are more likely to be more picky. A dog can be really nice, but if people already have a lot of them, they may be more picky than if it was a less common or less available breed. But generally, any really nice petz of any breed will sell. Some will sell more than others depending on the market at the time. A breed I could sell two weeks ago like crazy won't sell at all now, and that's just how any market works. You don't have to know how or why, you just have to accept it and keep going and trying things.
But anyone looking here for breeding suggestions- if you didn't get my hint in my bred petz guide, I am still looking for some really nice chi-eared danes. Seriously.

Mika, do you want chi-eared danes with normal dane feet or poofy big feet? I can definitely put some up on PUGS if you want. I have a lot of those. Any specific color combos you want? Patches good?

Either, though I might even prefer normal feet more becauase I like poofy feet to have sheepie tails to match. No specific color combos, has to have at least a chest patch and either pink/blue/green eyes, though. I'm picky. But if you can pull that off, I would totally love those!

I can do all of that. Even regular dane feet with regular dane tails and big poofy feet with big poofy tails. Definitely pink, blue and green eyes. Got the chesy patch and sorts of other patches. Woo! I'll tag ya in a bit when I'm done.

I know that right now, dogz appear to be bigger sellers than catz. But 2 weeks ago, it was catz that were bigger. In the dog category, labs seem to be the most popular right now. Shorties seem to be huge right now, I've been selling them like crazy even though they aren't my cup of tea lol. I'm actually looking for sheepies & tall bullies right now. :)

I definitely think it is easier to sell dogz in general, more-so because they have so much more individuality than catz. Lab shorties have always been wanted, I think people are just finally giving people what they wanted! I am totally working on sheepies and bullies, Kika. ;D I am in the market for more danes, bright-color calicos (no black or dust on body), mini poodles, smooth-coated sheepdogs, and mutts.
