Um...Well, I am not artistically gifted, to be completely honest...However, I did sketch a little something tonight. I've been having very bad anxiety lately, and it's kept me awake for many nights now. I might as well put this time I have to good use. The Drawing (WIP) As you can see, I didn't bother tracing over the tail again... And as a side note, I'm aware of the messy lines. I've always had a habit of starting my drawings that way, but in the end they smooth out. Some Background...When I was in public school, all my friends were very talented with art... I was always embarrassed when they would ask to see my drawings, because, well, I'm sensitive...As much as I would have liked to show them, I was afraid of being laughed at, or being seen as "less than". After a while, I decided to drop drawing all together, to avoid any situations like that happening. In Conclusion...Now that I am home schooled, it allows me to have more time to improve on my skills (in private!). I feel I have improved a little, as far as I can tell. And now, I'm ready to ask you guys what you think, and if you have any advice... I promise, you guys won't hurt my feelings if you don't like it. My skin has thickened. I'm sorry you had to read all of this... ^^' Thank you.

That face is too cute! <3 I used to retrace my drawings the same way too (and sometimes I still do), but with a little practice you can get over that habit. Right now I envy your tablet drawing skills, I was never able to get used to that format lol

Juniper Thank you so much! I appreciate the compliments! You know, I have a friend who create MASTERPIECES on tablets, and I was always present to express my envy. xD I'm shocked and flattered to see that you think MY tablet drawing skills are good. Thank you so much, again! <3

That's adorable! :3 It's so floofy and cute, and I could never draw anything that good on a tablet. It's awesome. Truly awesome. Pssstt... I'm homeschooled too.

It's nice you've come back to drawing! I don't always draw and haven't posted my art on RKC before, but maybe I should some time. I'm not sure if you mean advice about drawing in general, or with your cat picture. Don't be afraid, is one good for both. If you feel uncomfortable in showing someone your work, that's completely okay! It's your art and you learn at your own pace. It's great to look up reference pictures if you are unsure of something your drawing, even very talented artists still use references now and again. Your little kitty drawing there is very cute, the little nose is too adorable <3 One thing about drawing cats and animals in general is their body language, animals have a lot more body language than humans. Usually a cat with their ears laid back means they are annoyed or angry. Other than that, the anatomy is very good. The front leg is spot on. The lower back could come up a little, cats have this nice smooth arch in their backs down from the shoulder. this picture shows it quite well. I hope this is somewhat helpful, I've never been too good at giving advice ^^; Tablet drawing is also quite fun, and you look very good at it, I don't find it too much different from drawing with pencil but that's just me. Could I ask what kind of tablet you use?

north Thank you so much for the advice! I knew the back was off...The shoulder arch looked too close to the beginning of the "hip". But, I did carry some pride in the front leg. ^////^ I was never good with front legs. In fact, that was one of my biggest struggles. So, I was pretty happy to see that I managed to get it right for once! Hehe. OwO Thank you again for the advice! I will definitely edit the picture. As for the tablet, I actually use an iPad Mini. I'm not too fond of drawing on tablets either, so this is one of my very first!
