After that, it'll probably take a couple of days to base it, since I'm going to try to make the fur as realistically textured as I can. ^^

Wow, those eyes are beautiful. I'm particularly fond of the brown, such a beautiful colour combination! I also love the grey, I'm very fond of natural colours haha. Great job. I really look forward to seeing more, it's just such a lovely style!

Your pictures are amazing. I especially like the sneak peak and can't wait to see how that turns out. Thank you! Man, the new one is going to take FOREVER to finish. Just the lines alone are far more detailed than any of the others, and I'm going to be doing a lot more, overall, with it, between shading and texturing. Wow, those eyes are beautiful. I'm particularly fond of the brown, such a beautiful colour combination! I also love the grey, I'm very fond of natural colours haha. Great job. I really look forward to seeing more, it's just such a lovely style! The red one is "me." She's generally what I prefer to go by on most sites. =) I wouldn't call her a "fursona," since I'm not a furry, but she's how I'd imagine myself as a wolf/coyote type animal. gosh those are gorgeous! i especially love the second from first one, its eyes look like a flame! and by the way what program do you use to draw these? Thank you! I'm very proud of my eyes. ^_^ Definitely my favorite feature. I actually go through a lot of steps and use a few different programs for my soft/smooth art: 1. I do the base sketch, and detail the lines as much as possible, so that when I red-line it, I know what to include. After the sketch is good enough for my (very picky) taste, I scan/upload it to my computer. 2. I go over it in MS Paint - I use bright colors to go over the lines in the beginning ("red-lining") and clean up outside, and inside, the lines, so that it's easier to make the background transparent and color the base. 3. I then begin basing in MS Paint using various shades of gray. 4. After I've based/base-shaded the lineart, I open the file in GIMP. I make the background transparent (IF the image is intended to be transparent) before doing anything else, so that when I smudge the lines for the fur texture, I don't end up with weird pixelated lines from trying to make it transparent later. 5. I start to blend the shading in the base using the smudge tool, so that it appears soft. I also go over the lines (which I forgot to mention, should be recolored black by this point), and soften them up, too. Then, it's time for coloring! Those were my steps for the earlier art, but I'm taking it quite a bit further with the newer art, to achieve a more realistically textured result. I'm going to add new layers of shading and spend a lot more time on detailing the fur. I'll actually be using a vintage fox pelt as reference for that part, and in fact, used it as a reference for that latest fox sketch, which was a pretty big key to my improvement. (Disclaimer: I'm not a hunter, trapper, or taxidermist; a friend of mine found a vintage pelt at a thrift store and gave it to me for studying purposes)
