I finally got a few minutes to test these patches. And, I downloaded them directly from the site, to properly recreate the problem. However, I patched both files straight away without a glitch. I'm really sorry for the problem it caused you. It can be a little tricky.
My guess is that either your Dalmatian file was already changed somehow, or you accidently typed the name of the breed incorrectly in place of Dalmatian. Perhaps you saw Dalmatian and typed Butterball.dog? That is how the readme is written for that one, which would be a little misleading. The Cadburyz readme, did not have the ".dog" part... although both patches did work. If you don't see the file extension ".dog" in your game, you only write the exact name in place of the original. I don't know why the Cadburyz file would have not worked, it's readme was not misleading. Of course, for each file you must have an original breed copy to patch. I'm going to have a look through all of Minibyte's readmes, just in case. It's my patch instructions, she used it when patching her breedz and may have added the .dog part without realizing it might confuse.
Both patches do work however.
*EDIT-Important* All you have to change is the "name" before patching. The ID automatically changes upon patching. It will show up in the AC separately.
*EDITEDIT* I just peeked into a couple of random patch readmes, they were altered and can be confusing. I posted a note on the site's homepage addressing this.

I'm not sure what I did anymore, as I've forgot xD But I thought I followed the instructions very carefully...I have no idea what happened!
Out of curiosity though! How come you use patches like these, rather than uploading actual breedfiles/OW files like most other sites? I actually don't know of any other sites (other than APKC, I think?) that use patches anymore, and I'm curious what the difference is, really. This seems a little more confusing sometimes. xDD

I'm sure you did, no worries. I plan to update with a new universal readme. Those I have are outdated and could be simplified. To answer your question. I patched breedfiles, because (waybackwhen) I had limited web space and bandwidth, dial-up internet (yuck), and a ridiculous amount of free time for creating ridiculous breedz for P3-5. After I paid for unlimited web space and bandwidth, got cable high-speed, and Nick created LNZ Pro (my hero), I stopped patching. And they lived happily ever after.

Ahh, I see! I hadn't known about the Petz Community for a really long time, and I missed a lot of the older sites and stuff, so I had no idea! It'd be neat if sometime down the road they could all be reuploaded as breedfiles, to save everyone the confusion if they run into an odd instance like mine. xD Really though, thanks again for the help by the way!

^ You're most welcome. I uploaded a newly revised patch help zip,, located on the home page. It is not really shorter, no way to do that... but it is more specific to naming issues and current windows. I am thinking about making some of my older breedz non-patched unibreedz. Some of my favs. It's a future plan. Personal life is super busy now. My 1st Grandson (3rd grandchild) was born last week, and I am a proud-happy-busy Nana. Not leaving me a lot of that valuable free time... but I will eventually have some. I knew this was coming... that's why I kicked butt getting the new domain up.

Awww congratulations! It's great that you get to spend some time with him too! Not every grandparent is close enough to their grandchildren to be able to enjoy having them around. (My mom is one of them, as my brother and his little kids live in another state. </3)

^Indeed, I am a lucky Nana! And, I know that's tough for your Mom. I'd miss them like sunshine and oxygen. Today - Update! w00t! A new ow catz unibreed. I made a new Brindled Coon file with more variations than my old Peach Brindled Maine Coon, and I used the Maine Coon as the base file this time. Enjoy!

It's an old site that's no longer updated, but it's still around and I think at least some of the files' links may still work.

That's correct Kel. I loved Becky's files, one of the first sites I started collecting from years ago. The readme in those patched files was written by me. Site updated today! 06.28.16 New C3+ Bred-Hexie litter, come by and adopt!
