I was wondering if anyone could recommend some older, free to play, games from either the apple app store, or google play? My hardware is getting old and most games I've tried lately I can play for the first few levels then they start crashing. -____- IOS 12 or Android 7 if that helps ? What kind of games are you interested in? I had a super old Android phone until it died last summer (RIP) and I can try to remember some of the games I was able to play.

lobb Puzzle games, and cute games, occasionally simulation games. The main thing I dislike is time limits on levels. (Solve this puzzle in 3 minutes or you lose your turn type things.) That's where I hit a wall most often. (I don't mind limited turns though).

I'll always recommend Neko Atsume, if you haven't tried it yet. There's lots of games in that style. There's a game from the same publisher called Tabikaeru, where you pack up a frog's backpack so it goes on adventures and sends you postcards (Neko Atsume is in English but Tabikaeru is in Japanese, though there's a guide here).
I don't know if Two Dots and Kami still work on older versions of Android but I'd recommend them! If you've got a good eye for colour, I Love Hue is pretty fun.
Does Monument Valley work on your phone? I've heard good things about it and it was years ago so it might.
There's also a couple of pixel games I tried but never got too deeply into, Fairy Bakery and Food Truck Pup.
I'll let you know if I think of more!

Thank you so much! Neko Atsume is very cute! I'm still figuring out Food Truck pup. I love Hue is my new favorite game! I'm finding it very relaxing so far. I haven't looked into the other games too much yet because I've been playing I love Hue XD

I stumbled upon this free 3D Spot the Difference game on Steam. It's really well-made and has a Quest Mode + an Endless mode! Really nice for a completely free game. I'm like WHY?? (there are no ads or any reason for it to be free)

OK this game is amazing! I'm a big fan of spot the difference pictures and did not even think that there would be a PC game for it. xD Thank you for finding this! Also, does anyone play, either actively or not, PokémonGO? My sister and I have gone hardcore mode again and would like to see if anyone wants to join in on raids. c:

Steam summer sale has started! Steam’s slow right now but otherwise a bunch of stuff is on sale and there’s some steam scavenger hunt-style game (which gets you a badge maybe?).

Yeah Steam is still melting under the strain so I'll have to come back to the game later. You have to find the fake games using the clues.
Anyone looking to buy anything in particular? I think I may pick up Microsoft Flight Simulator X as I've been waiting for it to go on sale. I'm not really looking for anything too involved right now though.

On the topic of simulator games (which I love) Auto mechanic sim is free on epic, I've not tried it yet due to time (and fall guys becoming free on switch ect) but I got excited for a new sim game xD
ALSO FALL GUYS IS FREE NOW!! If anyone wants to be my friend on epic and play with me I play most days and would love some friends... I have no friends...
ALSO ALSO, i have like £60 worth of games sat in my cart from the sale I'm trying to decide if I actually need them xD Most are expansions for JWE2 and PZ.

I got Fall Guys for free as soon as it was released! Haha. I haven't had the chance to play it yet because I kept getting stuck in the "looking for players" screen. Apparently that's caused by busy servers. If I end up enjoying it, we can definitely be friends on Epic and play together I don't have any friends on there either.
Thanks for the tip about Auto Mechanic sim! I'll give pretty much any and all simulation games a try
I'm not really sure if I'm going to get anything. The games I wanted most have a tiny discount right now so it just doesn't feel that worth it. :/ Oh well, I have a pretty big backlog to catch up on anyway.

I find them so relaxing! I was SO happy to see Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 (that's the one you're talking about, right?) because I ALMOST bought it on sale many times, but every time decided to wait for the 2021 version. I'm going to uninstall my old 2015 version to install 2018! Anyone looking to buy anything in particular? I think I may pick up Microsoft Flight Simulator X as I've been waiting for it to go on sale. I'm not really looking for anything too involved right now though. I keep forgetting I have MS Flight Simulator X -- haven't played it in a couple years, but I do like it! (now I'm thinking about it, I might go for a little flight in Switzerland!) I wish my PC had the space and power to run the newest version... I got Fall Guys for free as soon as it was released! Haha. I haven't had the chance to play it yet because I kept getting stuck in the "looking for players" screen. Apparently that's caused by busy servers. I haven't bought anything from the Steam sale yet. Not sure I will. I want too many things, but my budget is very limited.
I'm interested in The Planet Crafter (but won't get it this time because it's still in Early Access), Animal Shelter (but wont' get it cause only 15% off), SuchArt: Genius Artist Simulator (still in Early Access), ASTRONEER (50% off, so might consider it), Let's Build a Zoo (I seem to remember there's a reason I shouldn't get it -- will have to go throught the reviews again), The last 3 Planet Zoo DLCs (too expensive), and about 450 others on my Wishlist, haha.

Oh man I feel this! I really want to play Unpacking but it's $20 normally and not a long game so I haven't picked it up. I check it every sale and it's $16 :/ even though it came out in November. Another one I want is $8 which is pretty good compared to it's regular price, but the lowest it's ever been is $4 so I'm frustrated it's not at it's lowest for some reason (and regretting not picking it up for $4).

I'm not really looking for anything too involved right now though. I've got some I'm eyeing! I have a ton on my wishlist and I feel like every steam sale I either a) have nothing specific in mind I want to play or b) have a wholeee list of games I want to get. This time it's the latter and I checked to see how good the sales are on a bunch of games. I even organized them in an excel file so I could compare them and organize them (between "yes buy this" "maybe get this at end of sale" "no" etc). The ones I for sure want to grab are: Transistor, 2 cheap bundles of Sokpop games, Bugsnax, Hidden Paws Mystery.
Some others I'm looking at: The Talos Principle (the $8 one mentioned above), Prehistoric Kingdom, Outer Wilds, and the Sims 4 base game (and more). I heard that if you buy the Sims 4 base game on Steam, but own the DLC on Origin, you can play Sims on steam and it will recognize your DLC that you own on Origin? For $5 I'm tempted to test it.

I'm so tempted to get it anyway haha. I'm not really sure if I'm going to get anything. I've heard a lot of good things about Unpacking so it's technically on my wishlist but not high priority. It makes sense that it doesn't get steep discounts on sales regularly since it only came out in November. I've noticed games tend to get better deals when they've been out for at least a year. I understand but it's so frustrating!
