I also like the Creatures Series. I bought some of the Creatures games in a sale a few months back and still haven't played them. My daughter did try out Creatures Villiage which I bought mainly for her the other versions being for me. She enjoyed it but it's a bit confusing and "busy" in places that it flustered her a bit and I wasn't much help not having played before. I have The Sims 3 Pets, but no other expansions or stuff packs, so I might be very tempted. I'm just not sure which one or two (or three) to pick, since I kind of want them all... I think Seasons is one I'd definitely want. Also tempted with SimCity, even though it's said to be such a big flop. Definitely Seasons, I love that pack so much, I just love the thunderstorms. I think Generations adds a lot for the kids. Makes them a lot more fun to play and gives them some neat toys and costumes. The other packs that I have are Late Night and Ambitions. I enjoy LN as you have more interesting places to go. Ambitions is fun and funny in places but it doesn't feel like it adds as much to the core game as the other packs that I have. SimCity I enjoyed. You can't be as creative as you can in SC4 because of the tile size but if you just go for the City building simulation I had a lot of fun with it. All of the server issues were ironed out within the first two weeks. The tile size is for me the only remaining issue which will not be fixed (they tried apparently but can't do it) but I enjoyed the game all the same. For Skyrim mods have a look through the G.E.M.S list. Those are tried and trusted mods that enhance gameplay. Just read through the descriptions for notes on possible mod conflicts if there are any and get the right version for your game and you shouldn't have too much trouble if at all. There is a program called BOSS that helps set the correct load order for your mods that is worth downloading. I haven't overloaded my game too much yet but I particularly like the Bandolier - Bags and Pouches because they increase the maximum weight that you can carry and as you have to craft them yourself it feels more in keeping with the game if you are role playing. If you like Sims games, I hear Sims 4 is coming out next year... They changed a lot of stuff this time (I think), search Sims 4 on YouTube. They are supposed to be making TS4 a lot more social orientated aren't they? Could be interesting but I'm not sure if I'll buy at launch. I'm not as obsessed with the game as I used to be. (TS2 forever! ;P) I did buy TS3 Pets though and I played a bit today with munchkin which was fun. I bought My Sims (PC) at the same time as it was only £1.99. I know the online stuff is disabled but even if it just gives me an evening's worth of entertainment I won't mind too much. I really should get into Minecraft. I tried it briefly once but didn't have a clue what I was doing. Other things - bought Civ V expansion Brave New World in the Steam sale as everyone raves about it. It's just finished downloading so going to try it out in a minute.

^ I'm still firmly addicted to Sims, so they'll get my money at launch. I actually liked some of the social options they've added this time, especially the gift exchange between friends games. One of my friends and I play gift tag.

Though it might be Y, I would prefer X. :3 Catbaloo if you want to get into minecraft I could teach you if you want. Its quiet simple once you get the hang of surviving. There are plenty of youtube videos for it to.

I play Minecraft too Have had it since Beta 1.2. I love the latest changes they've made, especially all the new biomes and more varied terrain generation, and the horses!! (finally!) I've never tried it on a server though. I have Civ V too, but not sure I want Brave New World because I think it makes the game more challenging/fighty? (which I'm not into). The first SimCity I ever played was... SimCity 1 on Atari ST and then Amiga. I've played every version of that game as it came out on new systems. I'd probably enjoy the latest, but I'm concerned about having to always be online to play it -- that really bothers me. What if I want to save my city and my connection is lost? (which happens frequently enough with my ISP). Meh. I just tried playing the Farming Sinulator without the tutorial and I was lost. xD I just minimized it for lunch but I'll start over with the tutorial. xD I tried going GTA on the people, but they all seem to be ghosts. D: Going GTA on the people, hahaha!! We don't actually interract with them, they're mostly there for decoration. It is a weird/different game... but it grew on me (and it's one of the best, if not the best farming simulator at the moment). The interface isn't the best, but we get used to it. You'll be able to hire workers to do some of the work driving the machines in the fields (huge help). There's a free ATV we can download from the dev's site, which goes really fast -- tons of fun driving it all around the place at full speed Didn't buy any Sims games after all... with my pets game being slightly buggy already, I decided to pass :\ Oh, and I bought Skyrim LE (not using any mods yet), but it's crashing on me with a BEX (Buffer Overflow Exception) error in TESV.exe when I walk in certain locations! (like the road between Riverwood and Whiterun). That's 20 bucks wasted if I can't find a solution. I was so excited having it on PC, what a complete bummer! I hear lots of people are having this exact problem, but haven't found a full-proof solution yet...
EDIT: ^ Working great now! Phew!

I'm not so sure what I think about the new 1.7 update. I LOVE the new biomes, but really don't like how they are placed depending on temperature. :/ I went exploring on my main world on 1.7 and all I could find where savannas and deserts! (I made a backup of that world, and i'm glad I did) I'm not to happy about the smaller oceans either. This is the only update I have had big complaints on. xD Been playing since 1.8. Ah well, looks like i'm sticking to 1.6.4 on my main world then. But yeah, that's the end of my mini rant.

I like the smaller oceans (some are still too big and annoying) and I like the different biomes. I still normally only find deserts though. :/ Needs more variety. And the leads. They always break off when transporting horses/donkeys, or even just when you put them on a post. Sometimes they just pop off. Trying the farm game again today. xD Last night I crashed with a car on some vehicle (I thought the cars would be ghosts too) and I couldn't get it off. It was upside down, and my vehicle was on top of it and I was trying to drive forward and backwards and nothing. I ran off to get another vehicle but I was kind of far and I got tired of running. xD It's really more complicated than I originally thought. Maybe it's cause I have no idea what each vehicle is called. I learned how to buy chickens though.

I love the smaller oceans in Minecraft. Those big useless patches of ocean were driving me crazy before I haven't had a problem with too many deserts... I see a large amount of greenery (huges forests, jungles...) I think the current terrain generation is similar to the more interesting way it was in 1.7.3 Beta, but with many added things like villages, new biomes, more variety, etc... This is really the best terrain generation Minecraft has had since the very beginning IMO (I had stopped playing because I hated what they'd done to the terrain generation since 1.8 Beta all the way to 1.7 Release). Trying the farm game again today. xD Last night I crashed with a car on some vehicle (I thought the cars would be ghosts too) and I couldn't get it off. It was upside down, and my vehicle was on top of it and I was trying to drive forward and backwards and nothing. I ran off to get another vehicle but I was kind of far and I got tired of running. xD ^ We can reset stuck vehicles individually from the main map window, where it shows all our vehicles icons on the big map (it's not very intuitive to find it). We can also use TAB (I think) to jump from one vehicle to another, without having to walk or drive there.

Just though I'd point this out because everyone loves a bargain. GOG.com are running a sale and are giving away Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics for free. They are different in style to the more recent Fallout games. Makes me nostalgic.

^ Just got them, thank you! I never played the originals. The only one of the series that I played so far is New Vegas. I love GOG and their DRM-free games. Anyone heard of this soon-to-be-released game called Starbound? There seems to be a lot of excitement about it. The graphic style looks a lot like Terraria (I never could get hooked to Terraria for some reason), but I watched the video and it looks like a crazily expansive open-universe game (the planets and other stuff like weapons are procedurally generated, like the Minecraft and Terraria worlds). I'll wait until it's on sale though.

I'm mostly into games I can play on the XBOX. My laptop can only get me so far with gaming, and I choose not to PC game because it also doesn't have a lot of space/RAM for those awesome games out now.
Besides Petz on the computer, I was horribly addicted to Virtual Villagers (OMG if any of you have played it, let me know!!!) and I think my addiction to Furcadia will be life-long. I enjoy making art and websites for others on it, and unlike some people, I get a true kick out of writing.
GTA, BF4, BF3, Skyrim, and the only Call of Duty games that I allow in the console are Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Black ops/Ghosts is not allowed in our house LOL. The makers of COD4 split from Activision that year and are releasing Titanfall soon and I think I'm really excited for that. Anything that has been in the works that long should be interesting.

I was horribly addicted to Virtual Villagers (OMG if any of you have played it, let me know!!!) I played those as a kid. xD I'm not a very patient person so I had some issues. But I think maybe it made me a more patient person. (Just a little)

Unfortunately my laptop with VV crashed before I could finish the game. Honestly I don't think I'll find a download of it and play again... it took AGES to get as far as I was!

Yeah I don't think I ever finished a game of it. I didn't understand it either until I looked at walkthroughs. After so many "No....no -shaking head-" I lost my temper. xD WHAT IS IT YOU WANT ME TO DO!?
