OKAY. So this problem has been going on for a long...long time and I've learned to live with it. But after using my laptop for a long time, then coming back to this computer...it's been bugging me all over again.
So here's the thing. It's super confusing. xD
I'm gonna use PUGS' background image as my example, since that's the one I deal with on a daily basis. But there are other images this happens for.
The image on the right is how it SHOULD look...the image on the left is how it looks for me.
I notice some images appear to almost have a "sepia" tone to them, when they shouldn't. Such as PUGS' grey background. It's brownish for me, whether I use Chrome or Firefox. (Chrome is my usual browser though, by the way) So I guess it isn't one browser or the other? And the odd thing is...it didn't used to be this way. This problem just showed up one day, out of the blue, and never went away.
I thought maybe only certain colors appear that way, and asked my sister for a screenshot of how SHE sees the PUGS background. I can see the colors as they should be in her screenshot. o-O So why can't I see them normally on the site?
I thought maybe certain image files...but the PUGS background image is .png as is all my personal showoff graphics, which are never discolored for me.
I thought maybe where the images are HOSTED...I'm not positive about this one, but I THOUGHT that this happened with somebody's pics once, that were on Photobucket. Which I now use, and again, mine appear fine.
So. If it isn't certain colors, it isn't certain image files, it isn't where images are hosted, it isn't my specific browser...AND if it isn't my monitor settings (because NOTHING on my computer appears unnatural looking, and I can tell, especially with petz things, when things aren't colored properly) WHAT THE FREAKING HECK IS WRONG?!
Nobody's been able to help me, which is why I've lived with this...and if nothing more, it just BAFFLES me and I want to know why.
Also shouldn't be any computer parts, as my computer is as up-to-date as can be (as is required for the Sims 3 x-x) mostly because, again, why would it ONLY effect things online?
It is like, VERY SPECIFICLY targeting random images here and there online, and I cannot understand it, period.
Does anyone have ANY ideas? :\
