Hi, I apologise if I'm posting this in the wrong place. I'm looking for a tutorial for editing my Petz pictures, there used to be loads of guides to help you make them look a bit 3D. I'm trying to jazz up my pictures for a blog and I can't for the life of me remember what I used to do for it. I'm using GIMP if that makes a difference, I think the tutorial I used to use was for PhotoShop but I had CorelDraw at the time and was able to adapt quite easily. Thanks in advance.

That's usually done with the drop shadow effect. I have Gimp as well, but still new to it. I do most of my editing in Paint Shop Pro 8. I'm fairly certain, that if you select the image, invert the selection, then use a drop shadow you will get the 3d look. Sorry it's not more specific. Hope it helps. And welcome back to Petz btw.

Thanks for the reply BoardwalkSue. I've just downloaded a new drop shadow script fu for GIMP that works well so I'll try that. I'm sure I used to do something with another tool to lighten up different bits of the body and face too. I've got a day off work tomorrow so I'm going to play with it then.

A few tutorials on here: www.ravenklaw.com/rpp/index.htmPaint Shop Pro based but you'll find a lot of similar options in GIMP they just might be named slightly differently.

Ooh, thank you.
I think that might be the site I used to use. Thank you so much.

I use gimp mostly but I like the -free- program AdvancePaint for adding shine to my petz coat!
