Below are additional guidelines and information that apply to this forum only. Please read the general rules to use use the forum as well.
Entering Shows:
- All show entries must be posted and visible in the forum.
Posting Your Show:
- Choose a clear subject for your show, so people know exactly what type of show it is without opening it (see below).
- Post the exact rules for your show and the awards to be given to the winners, if any.
- Specify how many entries are allowed per member, as well as the total number of entries until you judge. You may also specify an ending time.
- Please judge your currently open show(s) before opening another one of the same type.
What Kinds of Competitions?
The Competition Arena is for shows and competitions that don't fit any of the other show boards. For instance, you could host competitions about hexing, brexing (petz editing), stamps, drawing, real pets, poems, etc...
Make sure you describe your show in the thread's subject. Here are a few examples:
- YOUR NAME'S Hexing Contest #10 (0/10)
- YOUR NAME'S Seasonal Stamps #2 (0/5)
- YOUR NAME'S Poem Competition #1 (Closing on date)
Judging Your Show:
- Please judge your show in a timely manner. The sooner, the better, but if possible within one week of the show being full. If you don't, we may PM you, or someone else will be asked to judge it.
- Be fair when judging a show! Don't show any favoritism towards your friends, or for a particular type of petz when judging a pose show.
- Type in the show results in your original post and edit its subject to add (JUDGED) at the end of the subject line. Also, please post the results in a reply message in your thread.
- To make it easier for people who entered, please either tag them or like their post (click the thumbup icon) in your show when posting the results, so they receive a notification.
Maintaining Your Show:
- Although you don't have to, you may also want to periodically check and add the current number of entries in your subject, for instance (5/10) to indicate you have 5 entries out of 10 so far.
- If your show is full and you don't have time to judge it right away, you can write (FULL) at the end of the subject line.
- Keep an eye on your show as it's filling up to make sure all entries are visible and match the show requirements.
- We don't delete shows with entries here. This means that any show with at least 2 entries that lingers for too long will eventually be judged (from the bottom up), regardless of its original entry requirements. If you don't judge it, someone else will be chosen to do so. A show will only be deleted if it's still empty after a long period of time.
