Hey guys! Just wondering if there was a way to coax dogs into digging? haha. Or maybe something that increased the odds of it being a digger such as breeds that dig in the yard more, etc. I figured if you had absolutely no toys in the yard or something they might be more likely because they wouldn't have anything else to do in the yard except digging, but that's just a theory.
I was also wondering if anyone has ever had a cat dig before, or if anyone knows if they can?
Petz can also dig holes at the beach, correct?
Any cool digging backyard stories?
I've never had anything burry anything in the yard before, but I have heard of other people who've had petz do that before.

Scotties like to dig - and they won't dig without toys. They dig to bury the toy itself. Generally bones/sticks encourage them to dig, but I've had mine bury food bowls, balls and once my dog started digging while holding a puppy in its mouth...
I don't think cats can dig.

Yes, scotties are the ones to get if you want a couple of holes around! I even had an AC scottie dig a hole ones at the adoption center!

I thought I had a cat dig a hole on the beach the other day but I was a bit distracted with other things so I'm not really sure who made the hole.
One of my dogs buried the red tug toy recently. I didn't see him bury it, didn't see the hole but I saw him dig it back up later on.
lol

My tiger digs holes too...=P but only if he's left alone for a while (for example when I'm busy with something else and he needs go play by himself) and only if there are toys out that he can bury. But I think pretty much any dog breed will dig a hole, it's not just a scottie thing. I've heard about petz being buried before...I've never seen it happen though=], but it sounds so cool! Haha=D

So I guess maybe they just have a better chance of digging that other dogs? (scotties) Thanks for the feedback guys. :3

I don't have any toys at the Adoption Center anymore, I think a dog that I had out buried them.

But I'm pretty sure he was out alone, because I've been obsessing over him and playing with him alone most of the time...haha:x.

I remember once a long time ago one of my dogs buried another dog. xD It was extremely odd! I'm pretty sure I remember trying to get the dog back out of the hole and he wouldn't come out so I started to freak out, haha.
My boy Trouble also buries toys.. quite often too, haha. He's got some sort of obsession with the bone and stick toys -- I've seen him play tug-of-war with my other petz countless times, not to mention how he violently shakes the toys around in his mouth. x3

Still giggling. That is funny. I can't beat it but I had a chihuahua who liked to bury bones. All I had to do is leave him alone in the back yard with a bone to amused himself with while I went to answer the phone or go to the bathroom. I'd come back to a hole and no bone.
