Moo, Rina, and Kay can all help moderate. (: I welcome all ideas for this! And Kay, I would love if you could do that.<3
As for the forum part, I really only want to have an area for shows, and maybe an area where people can submit their pets for the site so that the moderators don't get all confused with people submitting them through messages or e-mail? Then when the pets are added to the site, they can just reply to the forum post saying they've done it.
So the forum would have one single board where people could post their pose shows, trials, pageants, whatever. Then a board for submissions, then maybe a board for talking? So there would be three boards in total, and I'm thinking I'd allow guests to post so that people don't have the hassle of joining?

Hmm. I don't know about letting guests post, though... since then you could be quite open to spamming sites, etc.
It's 3am here so I'll log into PRU and drag up the project stuff tomorrow. Expect a PM full of stuff. XD

I believe that having a forum attached to the site will increase member participation and decrease hassles. However, I have three different idea on how to include the forum with the site. 1. I used something like Webs Forums, and try to have the forum inside the site. (I created an example forum on my website: whistlingwinds.webs.com/forumtest.htm)2. I link to the forum from the site. 3. I put the site at the top of a proboards forum. So, the site layout is above the forum, and they're both on the same site. This would be difficult with coding, but possible.

I'm thinking I'd allow guests to post so that people don't have the hassle of joining? I'd advise against this. Reason 1) Increased spam 2) easier for trolls to keep coming back, obviously people could register extra accounts to troll until you track them but it stops the lazy ones. 3) people should be used to signing up for stuff on the internet so one extra sign up shouldn't be a big hassle. If you are not moderating sign ups then it shouldn't mean extra work for you anyway. The rest sounds good though.

I'll definitely have people join then, and not moderate sign ups. If there are problems with double accounts or anything, I can fix it when I see it. &Moo, which one did you like?

Okay, I realized #1 does work inside a layout. The joining is a little screwy, and you can't really alter your profile that much but the forums work great.
Anyone else have an input on this?

Am I the only one that can't see #1? It says it's Not Found when I click on the link.
If you want to let guests post, only let them post on one board specifically for guests like what RKC has.

^ Artemis, that confused me for a really long time, until I figured out the parentheses was included in the URL when it wasn't supposed to be. xD This link works: whistlingwinds.webs.com/forumtest.htmOnly now that one doesn't seem to be working either, although it did before. Hmm. o-o;Annnd I like #1, with #2 as my second choice. #3 seems like it'd be too much work for something that might not look as nice when finished. (:

Well, unfortunately I'm having issues getting Webs to work for me. :/ And the forums were quite buggy anyways. If I can find another site that allowed me to paste in a forum that will show up on the website, within the layout, without any problems then I'll do option #1. If not, I'm thinking I'll have to do #2, which is the easiest in my mind haha.

Either one! I say lets just get one into motion and we can always update/change later if it doesn't work out!
