LAYOUT 1: cheshirekatz.webs.com/test.htmLAYOUT 2: cheshirekatz.webs.com/test3.htmI was fooling around with iFrames and div layers and came out with these two versions. I'm torn between the two. I was originally going to just stick with 1, but then I realized that since I have a largish monitor (1280 X 768 res.), the first layout would probably look wonky on other people's computers. Your thoughts? Suggestions? Pie?

I liked two because it looked neat (or cleaner) with a navigation bar like that. All the links as images around it in the first one looked cluttered. That's why I chose the second one.

I think # 2 if you made it cross-resolution friendly. Right now, neither because the layouts get mess up in smaller resolutions.

Thanks for the input, guys! How can I make the layout compatible with multiple resolutions?

I know something about "absolute positioning" but that never worked for me, so I think a frames inside a table is a way to keep the frames from moving around when you shrink the browser or for different resolutions.

^ See, that looks fine of my screen. But then again, I have a wide screen monitor & some unusual screen resolution that makes every site look fairly decent, haha.

Hmm, Jewellz, what resolution do you have? I'm reading up on absolute positioning but it's pretty much making me go like this: HALP!

I see what the problem is, you have that black square set at "position:absolute; top:150; left:30" and that is why it is over the frame and messes up when you resize the page. What you should try is instead of just centering the iframe, use position absolute to set the iframe where you want it, and then use the position absolute to set your navigation over it/around it. It won't look as great in your window per say, but at least you will be able to know that both of them are locked in so people with smaller and bigger screens will see it the same, I know when I'm on my bigger screened computer I don't mind if it's a smaller layout and positioned off to the side. Edit: 1024x768 I believe is my monitor size. Edit again: All you need to do is add this code just before your iframe code: <div id="IFrame" style="position:absolute; left:225; top:150; width:600; height:300; background:none;"> and then after your iframe code put </div> and that's all you need to do, this will solve the problem of the navigation moving around. So that makes your iframe and navigation stay in one spot no matter what size the window is.

Thanks so much, Jewellz! <33 It's kinda funny, I was busy tampering with the pixels and everything, then I refreshed this thread and BOOM! You already gave me the code! ^_^ I only had to tweak it a little bit to make it fit. Ooookay, here's the third try: cheshirekatz.webs.com/test3.htmIt looks good on my end, and I went and tested it at 1024x768 and it looks pretty good too. What do you guys think?
