I agree, it will definitely be a unique kennel. It's brings on a bit more realism into everything, don't you think?
Maybe I'll draw something up on paper first and just do this over time. Kudos for thinking of this. I'm surprised no one has tried something like it yet!

So this pop up bubble thing. Will someone who knows JS and CSS take a look at it and key me in on how it works? I've only ever used HTML and I have no idea how to make JS or CSS work with, say, freewebs.

Freewebs does not support CSS for the most part. Most free web hosts do not offer CSS or JavaScript support as it is a bit more complicated, just as you cant find many (if any) free hosts that offer PHP or MySQL support. You will probably have to focus on non-JavaScript and non-CSS codes. They are much more primitive but you can usually find codes that serve the same purpose.

darn...ok, I'm sure I'll find something What about page sizes? What do you think about those? EDIT: Do you think this will work? <title="Text here"><img src="url"></a> EDIT again: I got it to work using <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v170/kc4germansheps/Petz/SPK/GNG%20Crew/?action=view¤t=Airi.png" title="Welcome of Shepherd's Pride Kennel, or more commonly known as SPK."><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v170/kc4germansheps/Petz/SPK/GNG%20Crew/Airi.png"></a> Check it out www.shepherds-pride-kennel.webs.com Scroll over Airi on the front page. It isn't a conversation bubble, but it works!!! Ela, do you know if it is possible using HTML to get it to be a different style title?

No, but this might (for hover over info, right?) <span title="Text Here"><img src=imgurl.jpg></span> Edit: Do you mean, different style instead of a yellow box with basic font? I will look into that Edit 2: No, I can't seem to find anything for HTML popup properties on rollover, except those requiring HTML.

That would be so awesome! Do you mean when you hover over a picture, words pop up? Or an actual bubble like you'd find in comics?

The bubble would've been a little cooler, but the mouse over text works just fine too! djwolfpup - She wanted to use bubbles like in a comic book, but she can't with freewebs. It's just a box that pops up with text in it when you hover over the image.

What Tori said I still have to decide on the page side...I think I'm going to go with 750 pixels tall, 1,100 wide...I -might- make a few rooms bigger if I find I need more space...like in the kitchen with 11 dogs in it >.>

You know, you can ask someone to host you? Luli hosts me, she's real nice and as long as it's petz related (and with such a cool idea as yours), I'm sure she'd let you have some space? That way, you could use the bubbles ^^
Or you can ask anyone else you know who owns a domain.

>.> I juuuuust may do that, lol. But first I want to have it put together for the most part. That way I know I'm not going to back out on the idea. I got the layout for the 1st room done. The entry way ^.^ I figured I'd start with the hardest. It took me a bit to understand how to use the angles to make a room look 3D, but I got it now. Once I color it and add everything to it I'll post up a pic.

Glad you have figured out some of the harder stuff. I do agree, a host may be your best option, that way you have a fair bit more space to host the images (websites with photobucket hosted images bug me, sorry, just cause if your bandwidth photobucket exceeds you layout warps). You also get the CSS and JS options which makes a lot of linking and stuff easier.

I need some serious help...I've remembered why I don't design stuff. I'm color coordinated challenged. BAD. I need to choose wallpaper for my 'house' lol. I'm using PSP8 and paintcanning the texture in...but nothing looks right. I need something for the walls and something for the stairs. (don't mind the unfinished doors). Oh...and I need to figure out what to do with the rug... I was getting wallpapers from here www.specialweb.com/original/bgrounds.html

Every oval/round rug I have seen in that pattern was always deep red (maroon), forest green, and a neutral beige. Perhaps that may be a combo to try. Not sure about the walls though. Maybe a neutral green (olive0 or neutral purple with a very minimal flower design. Or even a neutral purple (light) with a darker border (like this Click Here or a dif design but that kind of wallpaper border). Im no good with colour coordination either hehe.

I agree with Ela on the round rug color scheme, but maybe try matching the colors to the wallpaper you choose? It'll make the room look much more balanced. For wallpaper, I would say choose something soft and pleasing to the eye. Nothing crazy or impossible to match with anything else in the room. Anything with neutral colors is always a plus.
