Personally, skinny jeans are a notch under "mom jeans", in my humble opinion. However, there are a few people that can pull them off... but I eat, and I have thighs, and these strange things above my legs called "hips"... O.o Therefore, blech. Same for me. I'm not big, but I do have a more ~curvy~ figure. They look horrid on me, since I carry most of my weight in my lower half. & I have to ask, why the hell would anyone spend that much on jeans? Anything over 20 bucks seems stupid to me. They're just a piece of clothing! D: Go to Ross, or TJ Maxx, or Kohls. Things are cheap there, & actually cute. I don't get why people spend so much on clothes, when you can get something just as cute for less than 20 dollars somewhere else. I will spend more than $20 on a pair of jeans if it's a company I know makes good jeans that don't fall apart. Though I try to catch them on sale anyways. I'll pay up to $40 for a pair of Eddie Bauer jeans because they rarely, if ever, fray out and fall apart. I usually will turn a pair of their jeans into cutoff shorts for the summer if they start to fray out and they usually last several years.

-Won't spend more that $20 on jeans- Agreed... To me, all those high brand jeans are horribly made. I have seen some of the greatest and high priced ($120 +) jeans fall apart in a couple of month's time. My $15.99 pair I have on right now are 3 years old and still in great condition and will likely be worn another couple years if I don't gain or lose too much weight. Anything over $20 is a total waste of money. You just pay for the label after 20 bucks.

What about a pair that's $40? I won't spend over $100 either, but the $40 ones I have rarely, if ever, fall apart.

In my previous post, the two paragraphs are separate points. Point One - Most 120 dollar pair of jeans are shoddy made. High-brand = charge more than 80 for a pair, in my opinion.
Point Two: Whether equivalent to or shoddier than the jeans I own - none of which I pay over $20 for - why would I fork out double the amount of money ($40) for one pair when I can get two, sometimes three pairs of equal or better quality for the same price? Whether the $40 dollar pair is good quality or not, you are still paying out more than you could be for an equal quality, same look pair of jeans... It's just senseless in my mind.
If others wish to spend more than 20 on jeans, go for it, it's your money to do with as you wish. I don't think any less of people who do, just in my opinion, it's not a logical purchase.

Funny..and yet my $40 pair last a heck of a lot longer than any $20 pair I've bought.
I almost always have holes and frays bad in $20 jeans in 2-3 months, no matter what.
the $40 ones I almost never rat out at all.
But..I'm not going to argue.
