I will be back later hopefully with my first "proper" hexie (i have only done hex painting before now but I'm aiming to do alot more for this competition)....its going ok so far! Seems like a good theme to start me off with! *Edit* Your email:hellothere03@hotmail.com Hex name: Snowdrop Labs Description: (include image) Things i did- Changed the base colour to 15
- Changed eye colour & pupil colour
- Changed paw pad colour
- Added several paintballs on mouth, back, back legs & tail using 3 colours
- Made them "floofy" looking around the legs chest and belly
- Changed the tail to make it thicker and more pointed
How it depicts theme: this hex fits the theme as to me the colours used remind me winter. I added the paintballs as it thought it would look a bit like snow that has landed on their back and on their face. Also i made them "floofy" as i thought it would be like a winter coat that animals get. ummm i don't really know what else to write hope that enough? Sorry that my hex isn't fantastic but like i said this is my first real hex and i learnt everything i have done in the last few days Thanks for holding this competition as it really inspired e to start hexing properly

Your email: shoyru_girl_307@hotmail.co.uk Hex name: Hybernation Sheepies Description: (include image) It's a smaller, white sheepdog with lightblue swirls and horns. The horns have fluffies on the end. The tail is full sized with a blue tip, the nose, eyes and feet are blue. The pawpads are grey-ish blue. I made the texture hair3. The tongue is also light blue. How it depicts theme: Winter is a time of cold. Cold makes snow. And snow is white but, the purest snow shadows are not grey. They are blue. Blizzards have swirling snow so, the blue swirls represent that. Also, christmas hats have fluffies on, as do the horns. This was fun to hex! Thanks for opening the contest!

Your email: Conley54321@comcast.net Hex name: Snowfall Dachshunds Breed: Dachshund Description:Well, It's a cute fluffly little Dachshund with snow sprinkled on him. Changed:-enlarged the addballz for stronger body build -floofed the tail -covered his back, legs and head with little snowflakes How it depicts theme: Well, when ever I think of winter, I think of snow. Snow falls every year in IL. I thought it would be cool to have a snow-covered pet.

I am definitely doing this. Your E-mail:jesi840@hotmail.com Hex name: Snowfall Calis Breed: It ended up being a Calico. Description:Basically, All that I did was add spots & change the outlines. I'm not a fan of modifying the body, so I made it pretty simple. Houla spots & reverse houla spots, white "snowflakes", pink nose & pawpads, much lighter outlines. I also made my own texture, but it's kinda hard to tell with all the spots. How it Depicts Theme:Well, I don't know about how winter is where you live, but here in Washington, it's overcast most days, so I hexed a grey kitty with little white speckles, to represent snow. For my area of the country, this is like, to a T of a regular winter day. lol Plus, everyone was doing white, & I wanted to be different.

Your email: cylara@gmail.com Hex name: Leopold is this paticular cat's name, the full name of the hex are "Feelin Good Siberian Kittehs" =^.^= Breed: Russian Blue Description: What I did to him: Changed Height and Fatness to higher numbers Used new textures to get the look of his fur. ^^ Docked tail Changed size and fuzziness of the general body. How it depicts theme: Well I got to thinking of snow, which (until winter is almost over) is white and pretty. That led me to thinking of lynx and bobcats at work, they have the thick legs and big paws for their size..and just enjoy a good romp in the snow. Thus, Leopold was born. He's white like the snow and enjoys winter thoroughly. ^^

Your name: Brittany Your email: mountainbreezekennelz@yahoo.com Hex name: Blizzard Scotts Breed: Scottie Description: (include image) White and fuzzy with black and blueish gray spots. Grayish blue toes with unique paw prints and a blind eye. I changed the fuzzy feel in exchange for a fluffy, more cuddly feel. I made the legs a bit thicker and made the ears a little bigger too. How it depicts theme: I sort of got some inspiration from a snow leopard which reminds me of winter. Usually in shadowed areas, the snow looks like a gray-blue color so I applied that feel in combination with the black spots.

ohohoho I might have to enter if I have time >___>
edit- Is getting ideas from, say, a DA photograph considered taking other people's ideas? Like if I find a photo of a gorgeous winter forest and get some ideas from that, would that be against the rules?

Looks great everyone. kari, no, that would not be stealing. By stealing ideas, I mean, hexing ideas so long as you don't get your inspiration and idea from someone else hexes, you are fine
