I was wondering which site would be the best for me to go to learn how to create my own separate breeds. I want to be able to have my pets have their own breedfiles so that their colors will pass down correctly. any suggestions are really appreciated! Oh an another questions I have. i was trying to hex my brother a black and white rottweiler with plush textures, but when i take the dog out, the plushiness isn't there for the textures i have /art/textures/Plush.bmp 1 can anyone help

For the texture, arnt you sopose to do:
\resource\dogz\Plush.bmp
Because you put the texture in the Dogz folder, then you have to kinda tell the game where the texture is. Thats what I've been doing and it works.

Nuuuuuuu, non overwrites killed my Petz 5 game! o.o I like overwrites best. =D But you can do whatever you want, it's your breeds. I think you should both though, so everyone's pleased. =)

I hope non-over writes dont kill my game . lol. do you know what made them kill your game cuz i never heard of that before.

Hmm... Maybe if the texture wont work, make or look for one like it. I dont know whats with it killing your game. But once I know I messed up my game because I messed with some numbers, and later on, I had to reinstall my game. Just be careful on what you change.

The plush texture has always worked for me. Too seperate the files you will have to change the name and ID numbers of the files. If you do that after you adopt the pet though the pet won't run from the new file, it will still use the old one

Yeah, it was just I had way too many and then I had to re-install, then everytime I put in a non OW, it messes up my game. xP I like overwrites because I can breed my Petz and get many variations and when you adopt your Petz out, no one has to go everywhere looking for a file or you don't have to send the file with the petz. Much easier. =D

Did you rename the file to "BREED'S NAME.dog" or "BREED'S NAME.cat"? That might be the problem, or you didn't change the breedname inside the file.

I had already hexed it in resource and then i saved it as mbkctabby.cat in hexworkshop. then i opened it back up in hexworkshop and changed the breed name from tabby to mbkctabby but without the .cat i hope that makes sense

Go into the acutal Resource Dogz folder, right click on the Tabby file and rename to your own breed name (the one you hexed into the file) I believe thats what your missing.

huh??? I opened tabby in hexworkshop and changed the changed the name of it i thought like the tutorial said. i changed the name to mbkctabby.cat then i reopened it in hexworkshop and changed the breedname from t.a.b.b.y to m.b.k.c.t.a.b.b.y. i took away 8 of the little dot things and changed the id number and i changed the other number thing from 05 to 09 but my breed won't show up in the ac. if someone could maybe pm me and walk me through it i would really appreciate it.

Have you sorted out the plush.bmp issue yet?

Did you change offset number? Otherwise it won't work.
Edit: Nevermind xD
