Sorry if this is in the wrong place, or I'm not supposed to be saying this, but...
Like alot of members I've seen, we're sick of all the posts about warnings etc. Yes I know, I still don't 100% agree on the new system, but I've learned why its used and what its for. Besides, if I'm not happy with the rules I still have the freedom to leave, which I don't want to do - so I guess I'll just have to stick to the rules then. Which is fine, for me anyway. Its obvious to some members this isn't okay, and instead of leaving, think it makes everybody much happier by stirring up the boards. I would be suprised if it doesn't offend RQ and the mods for putting so much hard work into it all. I think the new rules are great.
Oh by the way, the people who use excuses like "I have a headache so don't shout at me" are you sure that by sitting on the computer your headache will get better?! Incase nobody has noticed, the RKC has over 2,000 members and is constantly growing, personally, I don't know how one lady can possibly manage such a huge forum. For that, I don't think she knows how grateful we all are, so thanks RQ!
But anyway, back to my point, its just a question, but is there anyway of doing something about the pointless threads about how rules are unfair etc.? I know theres probably isn't, so sorry for this thread, but can anybody brainstorm? I don't mean to be upsetting anyone, causing arguments or asking for trouble. If I am, please completely ignore this thread or delete it.
Thanks for reading, sorry if it offends anyone or causes an argument. That wasn't the point of it. - Cat

Yes, That would be helpful. Rules are there for a reason, I unfortunately added a border to my signature which pushed it over the limit, I won't do that again! This forum would be chaos without rules.

I think if RKC went for a single day without warnings or rules, all those rebellious members would beg to have them back. I can't think of a single forum which runs as well as this.
There's only been three threads about the rules which I know of - but keep in mind, you will eventually lose your warnings, and things will be back to normal. You wont make the same mistakes, and the whole place will calm down.

Well, the only thing I could think of would just be to lock the threads if they get out of hand. In my opinion, suggestions and opinions should always be welcomed as long as they don't intentionally cause trouble or take it personally or target/accuse an individual! ;D Anyway, I do still think everything will calm right back down soon, once everyone gets the hang of things.

Victory! "Curbing bad habits" is a nice way to put it. That's exactly the goal we wanted to reach with the new system. I'm glad to see people are starting to understand why it's there, and that it works as intended

I am 100% for the warning system. I guess why I like it so much is that it makes me think before I type something, or do something, or post something. As loxfiredance said, its a great way to "curb bad habits." And I think its working quiet well, if I may say so myself.

I am pro-warnings and pro-rules and even moreso pro-common sense.
I think the warning system has been one fo the best thinsg to happen to RKC since Express Shows. It has done exactly what it was intended to do: Stop people from disobeying rules. Its abotu time that somethign was generally effective, though I am also quite annoyed at the people who just dont get it and think the rules are some slavery act.
Honestly, life has mental rules: Things like you be polite, you listen to others, you share opinions, you respect elders, etc. RKC just wrote them down to make sure everyone was on the same page! Without the great rules, this place would be chaos and people woul dbe literally lost.
Yup yup, thumbsup for rules and the warning systems.

Yeah I agree, the only thing I dislike about warnings is that they are so public, but then that isn't the RKC's fault - thats proboards fault. They only reason this thread was made was to see if there was anything to do about the 'arguing' (I can't think of a word to describe it).

Like I said so far there has only been two or three threads made on it - and the people are still entitled to their opinions. I wouldn't call it so much arguing as debating... *shrugs*

Ah, contrare. The public warning system is not proboards fault.
Look at it this way, if the warnings were not pupblic, then they would not have the same effect, if only the moderators and you could see your own, you wouldnt care as much because no one else could see when you get in trouble. If they were not public, they woul dnot have the same effect hence the reason it is good they are public.

Hehe contrare. Sorry for some reason that word makes me laugh...
Yeah, I see your point. I know they weren't arguments, as you said Myth they were more debates, just reading some made me think there were some people who took it personally. I don't know why I thought that, its just some of the people seemed pretty p*ssed.
