Ilyana's Creativity Competition
Well I have been planning on doing something like this for some time but until now I have not had the time to create it.
This competition test not only artistic skills but imagination and creativity. All you have to do is pick a word that is givin the below catagorie and devolp into a piece of art or poetry. So I could give the word spring and you could draw a picture of a lamb, flowers, or anything that reminds you of spring. Or something like a hot water spring! (or you could write a poem)
When I judge this I will split poems and art in to two sections (if enough people enter) and I will award marks as follows.
Artistic skill: /10 (How good the piece is) Imagination:/10 (How original the piece is) Creativity: /10 (how creative the piece is)
(So if you don't think you are too good at drawing you could score big on the imagination or creativity sections!)
Now for the catagories: 1. Loss 2. Life 3. Wild 4. Freedom 5. Youth
Rules: - I would prefer if you drew animals for this, but anything else is acceptable. - Everyone can submit two pieces, either in the same catagory or in two different ones. - There is not limit to how many people can enter. - This show will close in about a month. Depending on popularity/ how long people take to come up with there creative ideas. - The pictures/poetry/ must be made for this competition. - Pictures may be hand-drawn, computer drawn.
Prizes: 1st: Full sixed drawing by me of winners choice(A4) Graphic award, hexed pet. 2nd: Mini drawing, graphic award, hexed pet 3rd: Mini drawing, graphic award Runners up: Everyone who does not place in any above positions will get a personalised graphic award for their efforts.
(I know at the moment I can't really hex too good, but within the next month I will be hexing like mad ^_-)
-Form:- Picture/Poetry: You name: Pieces name: (If one) Other: P.S If the catagories are really unpopular I may add some more. If you don't understand anything just say and good luck!

I reckon I'll enter this in the wild category. I was about to make a picture anyway, but it fits well with this so I'll have a go It'll be a couple of days yet though.

-Form:- Picture/Poetry: poetry "life
"Things"
Today I woke up surrounded by things,
Pulled from my dreams,
Wearing two different socks,
Wearing only one feeling,
Without much to say,
To the walls and the ceiling,
Who greet me each day,
In my eyelids,
Here I am again,
Surrounded by things,
Often making me wonder,
If it all has a meaning,
Each object is something,
The one thing you can see,
So all day I've been thinking,
Staring down at my feet,
My left sock is blue,
And my right sock is green.
Your name: kayla Pieces name: Things Other: I am quite the poet...this is one of my MANY poems. I wrote it one night when I was thinking about 'things' and it just clicked. The weird thing is the next morning I put on a pair of socks and realized they didnt match...one was green and one was black, it really freaked me out, lol

I think I may enter into the Loss and Youth sections, so look for those sometime in the near future. I've already got an idea too.
Edit: I may not be able enter this since I'm going on vacation soon, but I'll try my best.

Picture/Poetry: Picture/Poem - Loss (The picture form is the link, but I'll also type it out here in case you can't read it) img411.imageshack.us/img411/9121/sorrowloss6br.jpgSorrow and LossThey are such deep emotions. One can only truly witness the depth of these feelings on a cold arctic night when the aurora stains the sky above a multitude of different colors. When a wolf howls cold and lonely, a bone shatteringly cold call summoning its pack members. To witness the death of another of their kind, shot by man The most dreadful predator this pack has ever known. So listen closely on that cold arctic night. Listen and hear the meaning of what it truly is to feel sorrow and loss. You name: Xarae Pieces name: Sorrow and Loss - A Ballad of the Wolf Other: Only a link cause it's too huge for anything else... XP

OK my thing i made for this is not totally poetry but it is writing and i tryed to keep "loss" in mind but its kinda more or a relationship loss becuase thats what im going threw and i needed to write anyways and this just gave me an excuse to write . is that ok? if not ill take it out. Its also a bit lengthy compaired to what you probably wanted. Picture/Poetry: Lines of old paint; he is parallel to it, hanging from the top with yellow cloth around his stomach. That’s not his real name, but the one I would carve onto a gravestone if I had to do it. We both had houses that slept separately. The power company building was very close, stuck beside a road, near a pond where I fed ducks too much bread. I told him that the energy I felt was more than the energy ghosts give off. He said it was just the power company building. We were so close to what we wanted to be. I told him I wanted to be a poet but that I was tired of words. He just told me to listen to the power cables and not to talk anymore. I could never get it out, no matter how much I drank. He had the car for the night and I had no one else to sing to, so I lit more matches than usual. I wanted us to save words for each other, but we put them into a cardboard boxs and never talked about it after that night. I made this list of reasons of how to make the world a better place. I forgot to add, "87. Ask you to stay." You name: Keelo Pieces name: (If one) 87. Other: this belongs to a loss.
