What is a sled competition, you might ask? I used to see sled competitions on various petz websites - now they seem to be little more then a myth. The rules can vary, but here are mine:
- Dogz don't have to be placed in any certain way. I must just be able to make them out clearly and see most of how they are posed (see example below).
- A limit of 2 entries per person. They show will be judged when I reach at least 5 entries.
- No points will be given out; instead, the owner of the winning team will recieve an award to place on his or her site.
- Any breed of dog that could be used in sleding is allowed (I.E. Huskies, Malamutes, ect. Breeds such a St. Bernard or German Shepherds will also be allowed, since they could possibly be used for sledding. If you want to ask me for a specific breed, go ahead Just no poodles).
- Dogz must wear shedding ropes or leashes. They don't have to all be connected, but they may. You don't have to include a sled, but you may. Backgrounds are allowed - editing sparkles in their eyes or something like that is allowed - just no body editing (erasing part of a leg, ect.)
- Dogs must look alert and be facing the way the sled would be moving in (left or right does not matter).
- Include the dogz name/genders like I have done. Also the breed, please.
EXAMPLE PIC:
Hushberry (f) - Lita (f) - Nitro (m) - Steale (m)
Katsu (m) - Cobra (m) - Shepherd (m) - Sensai (m)
Any questions, feel free to ask!!
EDIT: JUDGED!!
BIS - Feral
1st - horselover
2nd - Rabidwolfie
3rd - Ratarm/Duckie
3rd is tied, as it was too difficult for me to pick a 3rd place an an HM. Both Ratarm and Duckie get 2 pts - the rest are normal. I know each person put a lot of work into their sled. I was judging mostly on how the dogz looked. Where they standing at attention? Were they looking towards where they would be going? Did they look in any way alarmed, or scared?
I don't think I'll be able to make awards, as I am very busy with my catz comic strip site. However, if anyone else wants to, they are very much welcomed to do so, or I may make some quick ones later on today. Thanks for entering my first sled show!! Look forward to the next one *bum bum buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum*
