Hey all. Just wondering if I'm missing something here. I've had many a cat I haven't been able to catch with the paintbrush in order to paint their hidden markings - I mean, I hit the cat, obviously, but no matter how hard I try I'll end up hitting everything but their chest patch. It's not a problem with tail tips because they're easy to hit and there's nothing surrounding them, but whenever a cat has just a chest patch or god forbid just a face streak, I find it absolutely impossible to hit it. Does anyone else have this issue or a way to get around it? I feel like I haven't heard anyone having this issue before.

I just paint the WHOLE pet when this happens and I can't get it by itself. Then paint the rest of the coat back to its normal colors, leaving just the facestripe or chest patch showing! This won't work for petz with visible textures but it's fine for most coats anyway. The only other tip I have is to try to line up the pet like stacking it for a pose/parallel to the screen, then come at the chest with the paint brush from the front to try to get the chest patch without hitting any other parts of the body.

Amanda, I've thought about doing that before! Such a good idea. I have issues hitting hidden dali spots cuz the are so small, so I totally relate to this issue. Usually I have the pet turned to the side like Amanda suggested. That should help to get access to a chest patch. I usually pet the pet in order to get them to stay in a sideways position and approach carefully It's not easy!
