Cicerone, your choices tonight were . . . the Mutt and the APKC Trent Spaniel! (found hosted here) It does rather look as though the Spaniel is missing a texture, but apparently it's not (I downloaded the file again to make sure, and the image given on that site does match up). I had to get a new Mutt for this one, as the last one fell in love. There was a lot of snapping and scowling at each other, plus a bit of wrestling, so it doesn't seem as though the date was a success, but - oddly enough - the Mutt was extremely upset the first couple of times I put the Spaniel away to birth a puppy so... I don't know whether it was a good date or not! (Spaniel didn't care - when it was the father, it spent 99% of the time asleep half off the side of the screen!) Both of them are natural tricksters, too. Or should that be "natural camera hams"? The offspring:
1 (Spaniel) - 2 (Spaniel) - 3 (Spaniel) - 4 (Mutt)
5 (Spaniel) - 6 (Mutt) - 7 (Mutt) - 8 (Mutt) They are ridiculously bouncy and playful, all of them. #6 is doing the showoff walk (gained honestly from the Mutt parent - it, too, did the showoff walk literally the second it came out of the AC). I had also planned to say I found it amusing that only the Mutts were getting that chocolate colour - until the final mutt spoilt the pattern!

Bard, your choices tonight were . . . AlinaMau's Bengal and VPZ's Felikron! (The bengal file is linked on the first page of this topic somewhere, and here is the felikron) The Felikron breed is like Lepitaurs and the FWD Astral; they can have some wacky additions. I forgot to take an adult pic of this one, but it grows up with huge antlers. At first, I didn't think it was going to go well. They kept circling, and circling, and circling, and circling... you get the idea. And then, suddenly, they were circling and cooing at each other. True Love TM was in the air - but then disaster struck, and my laptop crashed. When they finally came back out, their feelings had obviously changed :\ But then... apparently the switch flipped again, and they remembered what they'd fallen in love with in the first place. The offspring:
1 (Bengal) - 2 (Felikron) - 3 (Felikron) - 4 (Bengal)
5 (Bengal) - 6 (Felikron) - 7 (Felikron) - 8 (Felikron) The Felikron has a B&W personality, so as you can see, some of these kits have a hefty dose of sass and fighting spirit. This is the kits at age 12, and it's not just #3's smallness that makes #2 look big - that cat is HUGE, especially once it grows up! Oddly enough, there was not a single girl in the bunch!! I've never had that happen before (although it's come close on occasion). When they're at full size, #1, 7 and 8 all have (relatively) normal sized heads. #2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 all have antlers. #4 and 6 seem to have thinner back legs - or their front legs are much fluffier. #3, 6 and 8 all have the forehead jewel thing. And #5 grows up to look ridiculously plushy. And, as an extra... When I was taking #8's pic, one of the other breeding cats demanded to be let out. She and #8 immediately became enamored with each other, so I aged him up a bit to see if it was just a puppy-love (or should that be kitty-love?) crush. It wasn't. So you have an extra bonus Bengal personality kitten that followed the trend and was also a boy. No funky stuff when he grows up, just the big head and out-of-proportion looks of a chinchilla persian mix.
9 (Bengal)

This was a DELIGHT to read! I love that the parents just kept flipping back and forth between adoring and loathing each other, that's excellent xD And that extra baby is so cute!
I'd love to take 4 and 7 home! My email is bardarchivist@hotmail.com :3c
