Even though I used the latest version of Tinker that was supposed to solve this problem
v1.9.1 2006-07-05
Fixes a bug that would cause the error "Can't find caseinfo.lkv" if you installed Petz into the root folder of your drive, and tidied up the carrying case editor to make it easier to use.
I am now getting this very message. (I my games installed in a folder called "My Games" off of my "C drive" and have for years)
Does anyone know of a solution?

Unless we have the source code for Tinker and can fix and then recompile it, I don't think we can fix it?

Does Tinker work if the game is installed the default destination? I tried to install it the default destination which I believe is
Program Files (86)\Ubi Soft\Studio Mythos\Petz5.
but it would not install because of the symbols ( ). I tried manually placing the game in that destination but while the game played Tinker would not detect it.

azalea2412 the toy is not accessible to open in Tinker unless you've won it in a minigame and it's currently in your carrying case. If it's not, the error will show up. Open tinker, make sure to right click and click Run as administrator. Then under File, click Modify carrying case. Whichever toy you wish to edit, make sure to add it to the carrying case. Please let me know if this works. That's how I use Tinker and have not had this issue at all. Good luck

Good luck I actually found the solution in this thread petzforum.proboards.com/thread/60273/tinker-error?page=1I have the Petz 5 (Catz 5 & Dogz 5 combined) to play the game with but I also have the Catz 5 and Dogz 5 games installed separately that I use for breeding. I originally installed them in an older computer and copied them onto an USB and have been copy & paste them into my newer computers ever since. And while I had a "Keys" folder in every game only the Dog5 game had a "Case NameInfo.lkv" in it. Go figure. I copied it into the all the games and Tinker works. I have not experimented yet if it detects only the Petz 5 game but also the Dogz & Catz games. I created a "My PC Games" folder directly onto the "C" drive and store all my games there. With few exceptions I (and never with the Petz or Babyz ) have never had any problems. Thanks for taking the trouble to try to help me. I appreciate it.
