^^^ This is Bumble! He's a 2nd gen Calico/Honey Bear mix. He's as sweet as can be and absolutely LOVES to pose. Everything seems to be pretty decent except for one thing, no mater what I do I just can't get his tail to bend straight/towards himself. This is him in his normal show pose and he always has it sticking out. ^^^ This is the best I could get his tail, and even then it's when he's going in/out of his show pose, so it looks kinda awkward and makes it hard to align his legs. Is this normal in Honey Bears? I've never heard anyone talk about this with Calicos? Also idk if this is normal or not but I feel like his tail is kinda uneven if that makes sense? Like the ballz in his tail aren't evenly spread out, each line connecting them is a different color and you can kinda see they're kinda weird? or maybe they're not idk.

Hi there! The tail leaning or curving to the left happens when you take the screenshot at the wrong time in the posing sequence. The sequence goes real fast, so that's not always easy, but it seems that you are waiting just about 1 second too long to take the picture, or 1 second too early -- the tails curves to the left twice during the se quence, as shown in Thor's video below. Press the spacebar just 1 second sooner or later (depending on when your current pic was taken -- even if it doesn't LOOk right as you follow the tail with your eyes -- it goes that fast!), and the tail has a good chance to be curved the right way You will get the feel for it after posing for a while. There is sort of a rhythm to the posing sequence. Catz are ready to start it when they do that little backward hop, and then the perfect timing for the pose is about 2.5 seconds in. You'll get the hang of it, I'm sure!
Also, your mixie has a Calico tail, which are a bit more difficult to get a strong curve. But it should still be slightly and evenly curved over the cat's back when it's in its optimum position.
And welcome to the show ring! I'm glad to see someone else with Petz 5 mixies!
EDIT: here are a few examples of what I meant about the Calico tail not curving as much as some other breedz' tails (that's kind of what you should be aiming for):

I have a video I recorded from another thread showing a cat posing. Watch the tail closely: This video is slowed down. See how it flicks inward (for like a quick second)? That is when you take the photo. If I can, I'll make a better video and see if I can pause it at the right frame.

Thor Ratqueen thank you both so much! I wasn't sure if he inherited a calico tail at first, I'm still not used to identifying body parts yet I had no idea that it did the little hop at first! That makes it so much easier to prepare! I did a little posing practice today and while it's still not perfect it's defiantly improving!
