Alright, so I recently discovered ViaVoice because of the Babyz community and I got it to work on my computer. My pet does an interesting animation. He has currently learned to 'sit' and 'fetch the ball'.
I'm curious what are all the things you can get your pet to learn? Has anyone every documented this or come up with things or words your pet can do?
I did read that nostalgic had used this feature before, and am curious to learn more about it ^^ nevermind

That's the voice recognition software that came with Petz 4, right? Back when I first had the game, I never used it and I haven't used it now, either. Maybe you have me confused with someone else? xD

I was so excited when I first got Petz4, but it never seemed to work for me. I was never sure if it was something about the mic or computer not working, or if I just had very disobedient petz!

Um.. I've talked to my Petz for years... never used the mic. LOL!! Same here, and I swear they hear me sometimes when they react a little too appropriately xDDD Sometimes that's the best of all, haha! My mic is missing in action 99% of the time, so I never really tried this feature. I think I did one time, but I barely remember what happened. It would be fun to see video footage of how they react and respond though!

I could stream it one day, but at the moment, ViaVoice is set to UK English :c its really hard to get my voice to be recognized by the program and half the time it thinks I'm saying "bad" or "no" D: So far I managed to get my cat to bring me the ball and to sit? Maybe? I'm not even sure. I can't seem to pet the pet after I talk to reward him? Its mysterious. I was hoping to know more about this but I guess I'm the first one to explore this feature?

I'm sure other people have explored it before, but not recently. It's one of those things that people try, and move on past, seems like!
Maybe saying Good or something works as well as petting! xD

I remember trying it out a long time ago but the dog just did O_O face at me and kept reacting like I was yelling at it. After awhile i realized I was sitting there slowly pronouncing words to a pixel dog that just did O_O and got scared so i stopped and did something else. and that was pretty much my experience with it.

Yeah, pretty much similar experience here as well as them gazing at me lovingly and sighing. Or something like that. It's been a long time since I last tried it. Main reason I stopped I think was because I didn't want my parents to hear me talking to pixels and thinking I'm a loon. xD If I tried it now I'm pretty sure my RL rottweiler would actually sit when I tell my petz to do so, and he then would whine and fuss because he's not the one getting the attention lol.

[laugh] Same for me; I never got it to work back in the day. From this thread I'm discovering that perhaps it's because I had the wrong accent? Well, guess who's going to be doing some experiments later on in the week...
