First off, I'd like to thank everyone at WhiskerWick, PUGS and Duke's Group for providing such amazing pets for the Holiday Tree and Advent Calendars! I've been extremely busy working at my job and haven't had the opportunity to really admire and play with the petz I've claimed, but rest assured the ones that I have I love!! Soon my hours should decrease and I'll be able to really play with everything. It's been an amazing month with me getting up early to check the latest Advent Calendar post on WW(Is it still going?? I'm afraid, lol) and waking up randomly at 2 in the morning only to realize I could grab those 12 Candy Canes on PUGS! It really spiced up my holiday season. Without further ado...
Note: All PUGS sourced petz will have their preview image in the top left that attracted me to them in the first place!! These are also in order pretty much. I will also be crossposting on RKC with kinda the same post, making sure that the people who donated are tagged on one forum or the other if they're not on both! Also I base adoption dates on when I actually received their file in my email. ^^
Quart from midnightwolf on PUGS, adopted 12/5---What can I say, I'm weak for Labradors and cream is one of my favorite colors on Petz! He's super energetic and I just think he's got a lot of character to him that's different from other mixes I have.. I really love his different paw markings! I also named him after a character from Rudolph's Shiny New Year, 'Quarter Past Five', because I'm honestly a fool for Rankin Bass.
Yoma from MidnightWolf on PUGS, adopted 12/5---This is another petz that just has so many things going for it that I love. Tabby stripes on white pelts always makes me thinks of marble cake or something similarly sweet, and those pale blue eyes are to die for. Not to mention those naturally selfie lids and the beautiful black muzzle being so striking in his face. He's a Calico personality, so he's pretty chill and easy going. I really plan on breeding him at some point. Just too majestic not to to see if those hidden patches show up.
Nakiri from pinto on WW, adopted 12/5---This girl is truly something else. I originally adopted her because she was so unique looking; that blue and tan, the textures, that one side-ways ear, the stubby tail, THE POOFY FEETS. Her original name was Danger but when I got her into my game, I found she was more acting angry as a show--even if the pics above don't fully show it. I was reminded of a tsundere and as such, I had to name her after the ultimate tsundere I could think of--Nakiri, aka God Tongue, from Food Wars. One beautiful hex was quickly followed by another with...
Pinkadink from MidnightWolf on PUGS, adopted 12/5. First off--I will tell you that I did not and will not change the name she came with. It's perfect as is. She has a bit of pretense to her arrival, as my friend Vanilla had gotten Redrover, who was the example pet initially used on PUGS in the graphic that showed you the buttons/claiming process and is a custom of the same file that Pink here comes from. I gushed with her over him and then saw I had enough canes to buy another package. Imagine my surprise when this girl tumbled out! This file is all around beautiful, with the bonus points that it's a maine coon, one of my favorite cat types--but with pink and that name, those lynx ear tips! I would really like to show her sometime. Something else interesting about Pinkadink is the fact that she and Nakiri forged a friendship. I can't say I understand how an optimistic and playful MC made friends with a feisty Alley, but there you go, I guess!
See? These two seem to really like each other, like sisters.
Dinkly from CatCreature on PUGS--adopted on 12/6. If there's one thing you gotta know about me, it's that Scooby Doo was a huge part of my childhood. A lot of fond memories involve me sitting in front of the TV watching old episodes and especially the 90's-00's films like Zombie Island and Witch's Ghost. When I first saw this girl's picture, I knew I had to have her! I love her dark coloring and again with those blue eyes that always get me. I also really like her white chest and face streak. Dinkly's a really sweet girl that loves attention and I'm more than happy to give it to her! She also must always be wearing her blue collar now or she would be nekkid.
Noel from Penny on PUGS--adopted 12/8. I can be a sucker for poodle ears on other breeds and this girl caught my eye. Teal eyes in chocolate brown pelt didn't hurt either! She seems more shy than usual dalmatian personalities, but once she gets comfortable she really plays! ALSO I just noticed that tiny black tail tip. <3
Milton from MidnightWolf on PUGS--adopted 12/8. Milton, Milton, Milton, ohhhh Milton. A gray fuzzy scottie with white eyebrows and paws? Yes please. I was beyond thrilled to find out he had those brown pawpads too. He's got that typical playful, into everything scottie personality but he really likes to stop in the middle of whatever he's doing and look at the screen. Also his eyes like to do a kind of derpy thing and I don't know--he reminds me of an old man that doesn't know quite how to act his age and thinks he's still a young'in, like Arnold's grandpa from Hey Arnold. Once again named after Rankin Bass character Milton the Ice Cream Man.
Bonus picture of Milton with his new bestie Ponyboy from @buck
Tinsel from joy@jaded on WW, adopted 12/11. This litter is beautiful, and I love the simple but elegant concept. The use of the wizard texture is really subtle and pretty! I chose Tinsel above the other two because of his pink eyes but something that was not shown in the pictures was the HEART ON HIS MUZZLE AAAAA. He's a really energetic dane.
Biscuit from harli@skyrocket on WW, adopted 12/12. For a long time now since I got a Bernese mountain dog plushie for Christmas, I've been kind of enamored with these large balls of fluff and love. I've been looking for a good hex of one that felt the right amount of Petzy, so imagine my surprise when this litter showed up on the AC! I love the fact that he has heterochromia too. <3 He's a really silly big lab boy that actually reminds me more of a Sheepie. He was originally named Tag, but after some debate--and a name suggestion from Buck, Biscuit was dubbed as such. I also imagine he would probably sound like Markipliar if he could speak. He's another one that I feel will have a showing future! He's also begun to gain some Petz Just Wanna Have Fun points at Duke's Group.
Herring from CatCreature on PUGS, adopted 12/12. I was fortunate enough to unwrap another Scooby!! *insert cheers here* Even more so, this boy is Scooby brown! (Full admission, he came to me as a girl, but I decided being a boy would suit him better ;3) Where I named Dinkly after Velma Dinkly, I didn't think Rogers or Jones would be a good name for him. I finally settled on Herring for Redd Herring from the 'A Pup Named Scooby Doo' series!
Bonus pictures of the meeting of the Scoobs! I hadn't known before that Dinkly was kind of a mini, lol!
Poinsettia from MidnightWolf on PUGS--adopted 12/12. I think I'm seeing I have a lab problem. XD No, but seriously love this girl's markings! She's like a tamsin trapped in a lab body.
Anselm from delighy on WW, adopted 12/13. This little oshie just seems so...classic? The black with simple colors and markings and I'm fairly sure an entirely Oshie body shape(I am still trash at picking out breed types) is just amazing. The blue eyes really stand out against his pelt too.
I thiiiiink he has fun playing with toys too?
Jovie from Mika on WW, adopted 12/15. What a great little Calico. I love the dark brown/black/white contrast as well as those pink eyes. The tiny splashes of that lighter brown/tan really add something to his. Also he seems like a bit of a drama queen, like he feels he's better than you and must be the center of attention.
PowerCord from MidnightWolf on PUGS, adopted 12/15. Yes--this doggy's full grown. Finding a funny little mix like this under the tree was a surprise--I only glanced through the list of what was under the tree and I hadn't remembered seeing anything like this guy! I had full intentions of renaming this little furry bean but I've just gotten so used to this name so it's sticking. He's a little dachshund mix and he's got the energy to match. He is also going to be pretty special for me because he was the first petz to come out to help me test out a custom toyz that @buck created for me from a picture of my oldest dog I recently had to put to sleep. Seeing him play with it gave me an odd level of comfort.
Marell from Vanilla on the DG Advent Calendar, adopted 12/16. A 'denim-blue' lab with some dali spots and brown accents, she's super energetic.
Rivet from MidnightWolf on PUGS, adopted 12/17. I originally adopted this guy because of the poofy legs but much to my joy, he's smaller than the average dali mix and he's also a dachshie mix like PowerCord! I also really like the one mutt ear he's got going on.
Sida from Vanilla on DG, adopted 12/19. Big kitty. Big kitty with an alley face. Big kitty with an alley face and poofy tail and in dusty colors?! I fell hard when I saw her. On top of that, this girl's actually a Maine coon personality, so she's friendly, if not a little sassy. I can't wait to introduce her to my other large catz!
Brada from MidnightWolf on PUGS, adopted 12/21. Again MW got me with a super pretty Calico. In particular it was the small splashes of cream, soft blue eyes and pink nose that convinced me to claim her. I also really love how continuous the brown looks when she's facing right on her shoulder and face. I may have to see about posing her sometime.
Snowfall from Mercury❤✪ on WW, adopted 12/21. There were two other kitties offered with this design, and while they were also beautiful, I jumped at this little lady because of the....well, snowdust-inspired design. She makes me think of sitting by a window sipping hot cocoa while watching it flurry gently outside.
Bugsy from Dew on DG's AC, adopted 12/23. I suppose in retrospect it only fits that I nabbed another alley-faced poofy-tailed kitty, but this time it's tiny instead of big! I really love tiny kitties and Bugsy certainly fits the bill. What was a surprise when I got him in game is that he's a chinchi personality! He really likes running around and flopping over as such. He's a doll.
Black Phillip from Mako on WW, adopted 12/24. Krampus Dane--what's not to love here? The reason I chose this boy over the others was due to his eye color and the name; Black Phillip is from the horror movie The Witch and I have a particularly funny memory with that movie. When it was out, we decided to go to the movies; sometimes my family will split up if we don't all wanna see the same movie and this week my stepdad and I wanted to see Deadpool. Mom decided to see the Witch. Two hours later, my stepdad and I are excitedly discussing the movie when we see mom emerge from the theater looking so confused and kind of disturbed. We spent the car ride home with her trying to describe the movie and just freaking herself out more, and later on we all got to see the Witch and....I can't blame her for being so confused LOL. Back to the big boy here, sorry! The first thing he did when I let him out of the pet carrier was get startled by....something? Everything? I don't know, but it was really funny to see this big scary looking guy looking freaked out! I mean look at those claws, I'm sure he could do some damage. And I really can appreciate the ridged look of the horns.
Sorcha from MidnightWolf on PUGS, adopted 12/24. MW just kept killing it with bred petz!! This girl is a semi-typical calico-patched kid, but the white eyelids with those bright blue yes really helps to make her stand out! Also--those skinny back legs?? Fantastic. She doesn't seem to be very excitable, but she really loved it when I pet her for a moment, she flopped right over and let me scratch her back more.
Santa Pawz from Buck on the DG Advent Calendar, adopted 12/24. Look at this guy-! The red and green markings across the white are just such a pretty combination. I love the use of the subtle textures in the white, especially the wizard texture and I love the colored pawpads especially! The titled to the side hat is also adorable, with that fluffy beard! I actually adopted him in hopes he could be a friend-counterpart to another of Buck's hexes, a Halloween Hound by the name of Coco. They finally met.
At first they just stared at each other...But I don't think either really liked the idea of sharing my attention. Santa Pawz did his first pawstand and in retaliation, Coco threw me a pretty darn good pose. After which Santa jumped on her and they wrestled for a while. I did spot wagging tails and smiles during their interactions, so they at least like each other! Yay, post-Christmas miracle
Miles from Jenn@Nightbloom on WW, adopted 12/25. When I saw this litter I was pretty happy--Elf-inspired puppies, complete with adorable little Santa suits and hats! What could be better? I had a bit of a time deciding between this guy and Buddy because Buddy had these cute little freckles and toe accents, but Miles won out, both for his namesake and his suit begin red. When I got him in game, I was amazed to see his pawpads were brilliant gold just like his eyes--what a great touch! Miles didn't seem interested in playing once I aged him up, seeming serious and focused elsewhere until I got him to finally play with the star ball. While I was typing this, something else happened.
Oohhhhhhh, boy.
Here is their daughter with a very sleepy Poinsettia after giving birth. I currently have her named as Pupper, but she is seriously adorable!! I think I'll let her naturally grow and figure out a name for her ASAP. If any of you have a name idea, let me know!!
Maya from Pinto on WW, adopted 12/26. I think it's no exaggeration to say that when I looked at the Advent Calendar on Christmas, my jaw dropped. There were so many beautiful petz available, it made it hard for me to pick what I wanted, but the chi litter from Pinto kinda beckoned me, especially this pretty little girl who was named North Pole(though I thought she was a boy at first, lol!). Her litter picture didn't do enough justice to her, I didn't notice--I'm hoping I'm not imagining it, that this girl's got a lot more fluff to her than a normal chi, and the blue and aqua swirls along her back and hind legs are really amazing. ((I think it may have been a mistake?? But her one pupil is also dark blue instead of black but I kind of really love it~!)) I named her Maya after the lead dog in Disney's Eight Below--I was amazed I hadn't used the name yet, actually! I thought about putting the antlers back on her because they really compliment her whole look, but when I tried to put them back on her, she expressed her displeasure to wearing them--so I replaced them with a bow that she likes a lot better!
Bonus pics of her being a beautiful photogenic playful flower <3
Holstein from Vanilla on DG, adopted 12/26. Labracows--talk about things I never knew I needed. I live in a semi-rural area and my dad actually used to work on a dairy farm; I really have a certain soft spot for cows so I had to adopt this oreo boy! The wreath collar and tail-bow are adorable and this guy is just kind of crazy! I also love how bulky he is, he really kind of seems bovine.
Nari from shepherdess on DG, adopted 12/26. Just a simple, but elegant little black kitty with a classic white tail tip. She seemed fairly put together before I decided to decorate a little bit while she was in the room. I put a converted-from-Petz5 Catz nightlight on the wall and for a good solid two minutes she was super focused on it. She seemed to really like my choice of wall hangings, lol. More importantly though, we've got another pet here trying to nudge her way into the show ring by giving me a fairly-well aligned pose without me even trying.
Grandeur from Pinto on WW, adopted 12/28. I haven't been around long enough in the Petz community to recognize all of the pretty show files around, so it was a surprise to see a litter based on a nice Greyhound file! The orange and brown really goes together well and I love the white underbelly and toes. Her red eyes also just flow really nicely with the rest of the colors. The litter had been named after Arthur Christmas characters, so I wanted to keep that close in mind so GrandSanta became Grandeur, because she is clearly a high class lady.
Scamp from Arie on WW, adopted 12/30. I know I already mentioned this here somewhere above but I like mutts because of the one-different-colored-ear trait. Imagine my surprise when a litter of catz based on the mutt breed were offered! I picked Scamp out of the batch because of his natural two-tone eyes. There is something just really nice about seeing the mutt's markings on a cat, especially his face streak!
Charlie from Pinto on WW, adopted 1/2/19. I'm still fairly new to the Petz Community; I only started playing again in March, but the muttlie breedfile is very nostalgic for me being almost a year in. They were one of the first external breedfiles I installed, and one of my first petz is Tyrion, an AC-adopted pup. I really love the texture work on these guys!! The black-streaks are really beautiful and I love Charlie's red eyes popping right out. To my surprise, she came out a female when I assumed she was a boy, and I considered changing her, but both my muttlies are males, so she can remain her girly self to balance out the boys! More personality wise, she just seems to always be saying something with her expressions. As an experiment, I tried giving her a harness to wear because Duke's Group has an Annual Sled Race and I've been keeping a lurky eye on it lately and I thought it'd look silly on such a small pup, but it actually looks really nice on her, and she totally knew it-look at how happy she was when I first put it on her! <3
Opal from Nawmi on WW, adopted 1/2/19. Nawmi Pokemon hexes are soooo cute---howwww. I love this little snowy Pikachu lady! She acts like a little princess and loves acting up for the camera.
The snowchu in it's natural environment as well; couldn't help myself.
Aaaaaand...holy crap. That's actually all of the Petz I have up to now. The Holiday Tree has been finished for a few weeks and DG's been done for at least as long. The WW AC is still open for applications so I may still be getting some more beauties in the coming days, but for now this done. I started writing this post on January 1st and it's kind of a miracle I finished it. I don't do these show off threads often enough and Proboards likes to kick me. xD Anyway, as a thank you for reading this whole post, here's some stamps!! They're my first stamps so sorry if they kinda suck, but it's something? XD I don't have photoshop, I could have used Gimp but I went simple and just made them in Paint and used an online utility to add the text haha
