I play Petz 4 and downloaded the Honey Bear file from Carolyn's Creations ( fleabagz.net/carolyn/c3breedz.htm ). I adopted a Honey Bear using that breed file. Later, I downloaded a Honey Bear file from Reverie ( jewellz.net/ ) which changed the file so that the texture doesn't hide the underlying color of the cat, therefore mutations can be seen. I really love the idea, but the ears are odd. "Fixed": Original: I am wondering if its possible to fix the ears on breed file at all?

I’m not certain, but it looks like the ears are just white under the texture, where the rest of the body looks the same because its the same black that the texture has anyways, if that makes sense? If that’s the case then the easiest fix would just be to make the outer ears black like the rest of the body. When I get to my computer in a bit I can check if the ears are white under the texture on the original breed for you? Edit: So I took all the texture off the original P5 breed, and honey bears are. Not the color I expected xD but the ears are in fact white. If you wanted the cat to look the same as with the texture coming out of the AC but with the color actually showing through in offspring you'd need a file that was black in all the textured spots, if that makes sense?

Yes, the original color was tan! Seems really lazy! But I think they did it for testing reasons: if you see tan, then you did something wrong. Though, the P5 creators did not realize that breeding/genetics are very important I guess =_= Anyhow, I am not savvy in any hexing type medium therefore I don't understand the phrase "in all the texture spots". I assume this is an easy fix and there must be some program where I can just "select paint bucket tool and fill black" or "erase tan sequence '01100' and replace with color black '11111' hex number". Is there a tutorial that is specific to just changing a color and painting in other colors that a awful noob like me could use quickly to solve this issue ^^;;;? I understand if that doesn't exist and I could try to learn more if needed.

Oh! I phrased it sort of weird lol, I just meant that every ball or line that has the black texture would need to have a black base color! The easiest way I could think to do it is to color all the balls in PW. I'm not sure about tutorials on this, but if you're wanting a breed file like the one you already have but without the weird ears, I could probably make one? I'm not sure if the one you have is based on one of the original P4 breedz instead of having the HB personality though, and I'm not sure I could change that, if that'd be a problem?

I am using: jewellz.net/UniP5FixedCats.zip this file. I really have no idea. I guess that's a question for the PC. @ Petz Community: is it bad to fix a file belonging to Reverie that is based on a P5 PF Magic breed? It'd be making the breed better ^^ But is it frowned upon?

That's why I offered to make a new one, I figured it'd be better to start from scratch just to be safe ^^; I just didn't know if it'd be possible to put the honey bear personality on a P4 breed, or if I would need to base it on one of the original P4 breedz (like, a breed that looked like honey bears, but acted like calicos for example)

I believe its a conversion from the P5 Honey Bear somehow? I really don't know enough but I'd rather not mess with it if the personality will change too much.

I could try to convert one if that’s what they did! When I get back to my computer I can mess around with it and see if I can figure something out?

It'd be better to ask before editing someone's file. I'm pretty sure they're still active in the PC

I am not familiar with everyone in the PC. Is it Jewellz ? It says this person hasn't logged in since 2014 :c is there another way to contact them and ask?

This is a little old ahah. I'm still around, but mostly doing horses at Seeing Stars. I don't mind if someone modifies or fixes any of the P5 conversions I've done, as they're still pretty much PF Magic breeds. That said, I fixed the Honey Bear so the ears now match the rest of the coat. The new file is already added to the pack you can download at Reverie.

(you know I thought I saw you at SS, but I just don't connect names well and didn't think about that it was you) THANK YOU AGAIN! <3
