I just recently got Petz II To work on my PC after struggling with lots of compatibility issues, because I really wanted to experience the magic and all the glory of the older petz game, and I was wondering how do I hex petz? I can do some basic hexing in Petz 4, eyelid hexing and colour changing and add-ballz in Petz Workshop, I've made hexies before but they were never very good. But there must be some way to hex in Petz 2. Specifically hexing an individual pet's file to change fur colour, make it fluffier, ect. Any help would be highly appreciated

Unfortunately, I don't think LNZ pro can be used to hex P2 pets. I'm pretty sure you'll need to do it using a hex editor, like how hexing used to be done way back in olden times. This is rather more complicated. Carolyn's Creations may have some tutorials on this, as she was an old school hexer.

Yeah, I already tried throwing a P2 pet file into LNZ with no success, I wasn't surprised. I also tried putting toyz from Petz 4 into Petz 2 which didn't work at all lol, but I would have been gobsmacked if it had worked. I opened a pet file in Fhed but it's so many numbers and no hint to which number controls what. But Carolyn might have some tutorials. That brings me to a question, I read that Petz 2 toyz are not much different from Petz 4 toyz so is there any way to convert them to P2?

Yeah, putting a toy or breed file from one petz version into another will not work (unless it's a unibreed breed file, which will work in P3, 4, and 5), whether it's from an earlier or later version of Petz. Toys, clothes, and breed files must be converted to work in a different version.
Some toys in Petz 2 *might* be able to be converted, but I'm not positive. Petz versions 3, 4, and 5 are much closer to each other in how things worked than Petz 2. When you convert a toy, just like when you hex a breed, you need to use one of the already existing toys as the base. Each version of Petz had additional toys added to it, with Petz 2 having a lot less toys than Petz 4 and 5. Tinker will open P2 toys, as will LNZ pro, so I'm assuming it would be possible to edit P2 toys using the modern methods of toy hexing, but I as I haven't done it myself, I can't be absolutely sure. If it is, you'll need to use one of the toys that originally came with P2 as the base.
