We felt that we needed to add this rule, even though it's actually just a part of ProBoards' Terms of Service, because we found several members freely asking about it in the forum.
So new rule:
- Do not promote, speak, or ask about pirated software in any way. This is also part of ProBoards' Terms of Service and will be strictly enforced.

Yes, your signature is within the limits of what is allowed. However, one easy way is to right click over the image and look at the image info. That will tell you if your image(s) meet the requirements of a forum.

I mentioned it a couple times but hadn't made if official yet, so I've added this rule: - Do not post links in the Shoutbox. Thanks

Had to slightly modify the following rule, because ProBoards didn't like our use of the word "mature" (lead to confusion). Please be kind to comply. Thanks!
- Please do not use swear words in the forum, as there are young members present. Also, and even though "adolescent conversations" are allowed, please add the word [GROWN-UP] to your thread subject, so younger members can easily skip it. Anything of a pornographique nature is strictly forbidden!

I was just wondering if we are allowed to use a picture of ourself as our profile pic? I only seem to see people with profile pics of their petz.

I guess one reason you don't see that a lot here is because a lot of people enjoy showing off their latest favorite petz or playing with graphic programs

I have a question about a banner for my signature.
I found a banner online that I'd like to use, but it is 80 px high (when the limit is 70). Its width is within the limits at 400 px though. I can't resize the image however and I was wondering if I can use it? Its a pita pata banner and you can't make them shorter than 80px. :/
Just wanted to make sure before I put it on. I understand if I can't^^

Have to say no on that. :/ We can't really say yes to one person, yet no to everyone else. The size limit is to help reduce loading time and save space. You'll have to find a signature that's under the limit for both dimensions.

Does the upload thing for profile pictures edit them to make sure they are 150 by 150 because I uploaded a picture that was much bigger than that (forgot the rules) and it adjusted to 150x150.

Mmh, I don't think it resizes them exactly, just the preview that's visible on the mini profile. But when a larger picture is selected as an avatar, we can generally right-click on them to see the picture's actual dimensions. Do you mean the picture you're currently using was larger, or did you change it afterward? (because it shows the correct dimensions when I check the pic's properties).
