Hello! I was hoping someone might be able to clear this up for me ^_^ I have two B&W Shorthair purebreds who have thrown me two different type of lids, angry (default B&W) and straight. I'm not quite sure which is the more "desirable" pic to use? The angry lids are natural to their breed, but is straight more desirable? Would straight actually be faulted because it's not their natural eyelid position? If anyone could help me that would be fantastic <3 (pics below!) Siri Koal Thank you for your time

I used to show BWs exclusively, so when I did that, the angry eyelids were preferable. You shouldn't be faulted for straight eyelids, but I would aim for the angry.

I have never seen a purebred B&W pose with straight eyelids! Didn't know it was even possible! (sure you don't have any OW in?) But I wouldn't fault it in a show either way. Also... fabulous poses!

I am positive I don't have an OW in I don't use them. They are poses straight out of the Carrier though (as in they come out the carrier and instant pose) so that might explain the straight lids! (Poser did the same and has a B&W personality) Thank you for the kind words on the poses ^_^ I think B&W might be my thing!

^ Usually how I try to get alley catz to pose, right out of the door because their eyes seem to look a lot better than regular posing

Is strange how out the door posing affects their eyelids so much! I actually use the out the door method for posing catz anyway as for some reason I can get them to align properly by leading them with the cursor rather than picking them up and dropping them. They don't need to pose instantly, but as long as they don't move from their original position they were led to, they seem to line up nicely for me (though seems easier with B&W feet I've found!) I tried so many times picking them up and dropping and could never get it right x.x but leading them out the door and then taking pics until they pose seems to work on a mostly regular basis for me!

Yes, it's strange indeed! I never use the door method (maybe it's a bit different in Petz 5, which is what I use), as they never seem to align just right for me. The pick and drop method can be a little frustrating, but it gets easier with practice.

Yeah has been a very long time since I tried taking show pics with petz 5 (and I vaguely remember it being much more of a pain than petz 3/4 x.x ) I'm sure in time I might eventually get the drop method but definitely finding the door is easier for me currently
