Arre had a baby! <3 She sure is proud. Aww... This is Brace, Arre's kitten with Brach. With two SGCh parents, we hope to see her in the ring soon. Brace's very first pose... still got something to learn, but hopefully she'll get there soon!

Rasima I adopted Rasima from Sunshinecat in 2017, I think maybe here on the forum? I can't find the thread to verify, but Rasima did come to me via email in March of 2017. I liked her tricolor look, and of course the puffy tail, pink eyes, alley ears, and face streak were all a bonus. When looking for a show name, I googled the meaning of the name "Rasima" (the name she came with), and found out that it means planner/designer/architect. So her show name is "Arts and Crafts," my favorite style of home.
Rasima did quite well showing, placing in every single show she entered save for one, with many BIS placements. She began showing in September of 2017 and finished her title in early October, so--not too shabby! Hopefully the judges at PKC like her just as much because this baby has ambitions! <3

Circe Circe is a homegrown Rattlesnake champion! Her mother Ceres earned her Supreme Grand Champion title some time ago, and Circe was excited to carry the tradition on. Circe is named for a Greek goddess, just like her mother as well. She also has a similar monochromatic color scheme.
Circe hates the beach; I took her there once and I'm afraid she still has PTSD from it. Luckily, striking a show pose calms her nerves as she knows it is something she is good at, and the show ring was a blessing to her. She earned BIS three times in her career, and avoided placing at the HM rank entirely, which she is very proud of.

Uh oh, what's this--trouble backstage?
"I won those points fair and square and it's time you step aside!!"
Galene understands her lesson too late--sometimes others shut down when you're rude to them! "Pleeeeease," Galene adds. Circe isn't having it.
"Look, I'm really sorry, and I should never have acted that way. I know you have done just as much work as me to get to where you are and I was disrespectful, Circe. You're a lovely show cat and a just a great feline in general." Galene even gets down to grovel, which may be overdoing it, but finally Circe is stirred to open her eyes.
"Oh come on, then, get up..." Circe says.
"I present to you the newest Rattlesnake SGCh, Galene!" "OMG thank you Circe," Galene gushes as she curtsies.
"YISSSSSSS"

Galene Galene is the first of her family to try her paw at showing. She was a little shy at first, thinking that she had an awkward body for the show ring--who would like her skinny little legs and tail, jelly bean body, alley face, and plain coloring? But she realized that if she worked hard, others would recognize her talent.
Galene had a rocky start to her career, and her first round of shows was quite rocky as she had quite a large tail fault. However, once that was corrected, her placements quickly improved and she achieved her SGCh title quickly. Always tenacious, she has a hard time letting go of things. On the right, you can see her plotting her next rise in the show ring once PKC is up and running.

Ronnie I adopted Ronnie from Ali @ Qwerty in the fall of 2017 from an auction on Whiskerwick and started entering him in shows right away. I love his lab tail, fall colors, gray eyes, and black toes. He is such a pretty doggo, and looking at his pictures it really stands out how much dalmations puff up for the show ring. His show name "Rocky Candy" comes from the title of a song by Montrose; the founder of the band Montrose's first name is Ronnie, and there's also the Halloween tie in with candy.
Ronnie's career developed quickly and he made it from 0 points to SGCh in less than two weeks. The dali pose shows were a tough place to be at the time, the competition was stellar, and Ronnie is very proud that he was able to achieve BIS in a standard show and for his handful of 1st place prizes because it was such an intense time.

Cordelia Cordelia is one of my SGCh legacy catz. Her mother being Dition and her father is Jet, Rattlesnake's Gotta Run, a cat who was raised and shown by dxgamer . Jet himself is the son of Madison and Brach and when he achieved SGCh we bred him with Dition; Cordelia is one result. I love her little sloped body which reminds me of a German Shepherd.
Cordelia loved her time in the show ring and has some nice ribbons to show for it. Her show name "Plighted Cunning" comes from Shakespeare, to match her call name, although to be honest she isn't really one for plotting double-crossing, and is a bit more timid than she might seem on first glance.

Doro Doro is a SGCh baby; I wonder if anyone remembers her birth announcement in this very thread? She sure was a cutie, and she still is today. She had a moment in the show ring for about three weeks back in September and October of 2017 (was it really so long ago?!).
Doro is named after a character in Octavia Butler's Wild Seed, and it's not much of a spoiler to say that her show name "Body Snatcher" compliments it. She wouldn't actually steal anyone's body though, she's far too sweet. I love her little bulldog face, floppy ears, and thicc tail. She's such an adorable dog to me and I hope she will have some SGCh pups of her own.

Gordy Gordy is SGCh offspring, and she's got a title to back that up herself. Her parents are Brach and Madison (so if you're paying super close attention, you'll realize that means she's Cordelia's aunt!). She might seem like a "boring" cat in today's modern Petz world, but her killer pose meant that she had a very short time in the show ring, garnering more BIS placements than any other Rattlesnake pet to date. I think the perfect curve to her tail tip that she was able to achieve is part of the key to her success.
I'm not sure where Gordy's call name came from, but I'm pretty sure I was listening to Paula Abdul when it came time to give her her show name "Straight Up." The answer to the song's main question of "do ya love me?" is that we absolutely do, Gordy! And it's not just because it only took you 8 shows to get to SGCh, but because you're spunky and sweet. Gordy is making plans to do her Good Petz Citizen scheme and would definitely enter PKC shows if they ever open up again.

Kansas Kansas is a wee bit of a chonk, and usually I don't like the skinny tails, but he won me over with his dedication to craft--plus those beautiful fall colors don't hurt! He's the first of his family to enter the show ring and he did distinguish himself well. He had a rough start but was able to overcome that and finish strong, with his last two shows being BIS placements.
Kansas has a good sense of humor and likes to goof around. In that way, he is kind of the opposite of his show name "Bleeding Kansas," which of course references events in US history, a period of violence surrounding whether Kansas would enter the Union as a free or slavery state. Kansas has an interest in John Brown and recommends the book Midnight Rising for anyone who wants to learn more about him.

Cowan Cowan was born here at Rattlesnake in early 2017 and started his show career in the fall of that year. He's named after John Cowan, singer for New Grass Revival, for his blond lustrous locks, and his show name "Can't Stop Now" is a banger of a song you can listen to here. It also fits Cowan's career trajectory, which got off to a very rocky start. Partially that's my fault as I don't have as much experience showing dogz and 7 of the first 10 shows he entered he didn't place at all D: Sorry buddy. But didn't stop, did a little better in dane shows, and eventually earned some first place ribbons, along with one BIS.
One thing about Cowan is that everything seems to make him sad. D: Even pumpkin pie makes him sad and worried. Part of this could be because it was really hard for him to enter so many shows and see his friends Sweater's and Ronnie's career take off. I think part of it might be that he is lonely. Maybe he will go to a SGCh singles bar one day soon.
