It keeps saying it can't find a valid installation of Petz 5 to edit. It's in Program Files/Ubi Soft/Studio Mythos/Petz 5. I tried running as an admin and opening a toy file, but I still get the same error

Have you tried opening up any toyz in Tinker that are currently in your petz5 game?
edit: Also, look in your Petz 5/Resource/Keys folder, and see if there's a file named "Case NameInfo.lkv" . If there's not, this may be why it's not working...

if that doesn't work, try re-installing your game into my documents/petz 5. because later versions of windows have a lot of permission issues so it may be that it is not being allowed to access the game, even upon opening a .toy file.

I've done those, but there's no Key folder. Does anyone have backups they can send me?

^ That's probably your problem.
I don't have Tinker, but I have a Keys folder.

I've done those, but there's no Key folder. Does anyone have backups they can send me? The keys folder is where the game stores the "memory" of what's placed in the room and cabinets, etc.. Try opening your game, and placing whatever toys you start with around in various rooms, and inside the kitchen cabinets/fridge. Then play a mini-game (I recommend the scarab game in Arabia, as it's faster), then place you're newly won toy in the carrying case. Once you've done all this, check for that folder again. If it's there, tinker should now work for you.

But now you have a keys folder, right? I could try sending you a copy of my "Case NameInfo.lkv", and see if that does anything.. If not, you may want to try what Arty suggested, and re-install the game into "My Documents".

๐ Aubrey I've already done that. I tried playing a mini-game, but it crashes. Now matter how or where I reinstall, the setup never even installs the Key folder. Is there Any way (like Google Drive) that you could send me the whole folder? If the files were downloadable, I'd just do it myself.

I will send these as soon as I'm home. I'm currently at work right now... What email would you like me to send them to? If it's okay, I'll zip them so that they can be sent all together in an email.

I'm sorry for bumping such an old post, but I'm having the exact same problem! My Petz 5 game will not create a keys folder and it must be causing trouble for Tinker to locate my game. Could someone please email me the keys folder to blazinqmoon@gmail.com? I haven't found any other website that has publicly shared it.
