I was just wondering how you guys felt about getting a 'Thank you/Received' e-mail reply when sending out petz to others.
Personally, I'll send out these replies whenever I receive petz as long as my reply isn't days later. I also like to have either a 'Thank you/Received' message when I send out petz so that I know the person got the e-mail and pet(z) and it didn't get lost out in space.
However, I know for others this may be annoying or inbox filling and I wouldn't want to do that to people who would rather I not reply.

I don't mind it really, however i expect people to message me if petz get lost though, so i never send messages when i receive them.

I don't expect it but I do appreciate a quick reply just so I know that it made it as quite a few times they get gobbled up by spam filters or misspelled emails addys. I send out received replies when I've adopted something for the same reason, plus I think it's polite.

I agree that it's nice to know the petz I send out are received properly and not lost! I always make sure to send my thanks when I receive a pet, to be sure the hexer/breeder knows they arrived safely!

I like to receive a "thank you" email because then I know the pet was delivered and the person is enjoying them I send "thank you" emails for the same reason; I want the breeder/hexer to know I appreciate their service and that I am having fun c: I never expect "thank you" emails, but I really do like them. Common courtesy, I suppose. *shrugs*

Yeah, same as most others, I like sending thank yous so they know I've received the pet, plus it's just nice to do since they took the time to breed/hex/send me something.
Generally when sending people pets, I like to say "let me know when you get it so I know it arrived safely" depending on if I have contact with that person outside of email (like through a forum or chatbox) or in the email I just ask for them to let me know when they've put the pet in the game so I know it works. Thank yous are nice, but generally my main concern is the pet arriving safely as sometimes my email eats emails.

I agree with the general gist; I'm not after a thank-you as such, it's just good to know the email containing the pet didn't get gobbled up by the interwebs

For me it depends on the pet. If I was adopting out petz as non freebies I like to get a reply to know they got it but otherwise I don't really mind.

I don't mind either way. I try to send out replies, but most often I actually don't download the pet until days later.. sometimes weeks depending on how busy I am. Then if something is wrong with the pet, i'd feel silly sending a "Wait a minute" e-mail again after already sending a thank-you.
So I try to send a thank-you after I put the pet in game to make sure everything is a-okay, but sometimes I don't because I am a very forgetful person.
Also, I tend to think thr worst when I see someone has replied to me after I sent them a pet. I get this moment of panic and think to myself "Oh no... did I send the wrong pet!??!" Silly, but true LOL

I mind not sending a thank you email is like you giving someone a free cake and they don't say thank you to you its just rude

I don't usually mind if people don't, but I really appreciate it when they do (especially for hexed petz). Just lets you know that they arrived safely and everything is A-ok . However, I don't always send thank you e-mails. I'm not sure why...

It is always appreciated but never expected, comes as a nice warm feeling though and knowing that the pet got to them safe

For me, whether I had something like a petz file sent to me or I purchased something and had a conversation with the seller via email, I feel conflicted about thank you's. I think if something gets lost the buyer/reciever should reply. I also think it's really nice to receive a thank you. I am always worried though that sending a two word email that just says, "thank you" might bother the person because now they have to check their emails, which might be full, to read something they don't need to reply to or anything. But I stress a lot so apparently my mind thought of some "worse case scenario" kind of thing. Otherwise thank you's are nice! They probably don't bother people and I don't mean to imply that lol.

Is it nice when someone sends one back? Sure.
Do I expect it? No.
I'm horrible about sending them back out, I am extremely absent-minded because of the way my brain is wired, so I don't put that much stock into it if someone doesn't send me one.

I personally think it's the polite thing to do. Since I always adopt petz either from the forum or PUGS I always either post in the thread or send a PM so the breeder/hexer knows that I've received the pet and that I appreciate what they've done for me, but if I adopted from a site I'd be sure to respond with an email.
