Which version of Catz do you personally use? For those of you who have both 4 and 5, which version do you prefer to adopt for? m I have both 4 and 5, and I'm not picky when it comes to adoptions. However, it seems as though people are more willing to adopt catz that are designated for Catz 4.

I have 4 and 5 but I definitely prefer P4. I don't have to change any settings on my computer for it and it's what I grew up with so I guess I just got used to it.

P4, all the way. I have P3/P5, I just don't use them much and when I do, I like that 3/4 are compatible for one another, which means I can use one for personal petz and one for breeding, and then just import any that I want to keep.

Hmm? What's bad about P5? (I've never played P4)

I like Petz 5, I still kind of prefer petz4 because of the nostalgia. However, I like the fact that Petz 5 has weather and that we can have litters.

Petz 5 is full of nostalgia for me Though my old petz are about generation 2 or 3 and I deleted some gen 1s... But I remember waiting a while for Snowbell to grow up from a little kitten.

I have both P4 and P5 but I only adopt 99% of the time for P4, partly because if I want to adopt out P4 is more popular and partly because I decided to keep my P5 crew small because two large crews would just give me a headache.

Hmm? What's bad about P5? (I've never played P4) I think most people that are against P5, came to it later than P4. Personally that was the case for me but it was within a year of getting P4 and I was still young, so I didn't notice glitches; generally people who have had P5 since youth have come to love the glitches over time and it's part of the nostalgia. Things such as the issues with big dogs repeatedly bouncing food bowls, clones of babies (that happens to me a lot, especially with instant birth), untextured patches on the new breedz (there's an untextured orange spot on the jack russell, and the black pug/the cream pug's face are a mess of untextured black), breeding problems (such as floating tabby tail syndrome when bred with a bobtail breed) and issues with the playscene functionality (e.g: in my game the Mr. Bonez game doesn't respond as it should) all make P5 a little less appealing for older players. On the other hand, I love the mini-games (they amused me endlessly as a child) and litterz options, so I still enjoy P5. I just prefer P4 because I find it more... simple? I guess.

^ I actually started with petz 5 but switched to petz 4 because the game is just less glitchy over all like you said + i find the graphics really appealing. p4 is very nostalgic for me as well but i haven't had it installed in years haha. the litters system is SUPER glitchy and just lazily done imo

When I was little, I guess I didn't notice any glitches. It does annoy me how much they knock the bowls around though. Well, maybe I might ask for P4 for my birthday I'd have to wait half a year but still

I have Catz 5 and Catz 3. I would prefer to use C3, since most seem to prefer C3/4, but it does not work on my laptop. The only glitch that really annoys me is the bouncing bowls in P5.

The only glitch that really annoys me is the bouncing bowls in P5. Actually, that occurs in all Petz games! It is pretty annoying. It's harder to work around in P5, though.

^ Ah ok, thanks for the info. I must have forgotten since I haven't played earlier versions for a while.
