Currently being used as a crew site...
However it is the foundation for what is coming up...
Pending OFA, CEA/CH, CL, TNS, MDR1 and CERF tests, Strike (front) will possibly be my first foundation sire in a few years.
I do not have a dam yet, because I want to make sure he clears all of his health tests first.
I've been in the Border Collie breed for literally my entire life.
Mine are ABCA registered (American Border Collie Association) and Strike is pending AKC registration.
Why breed?
Lately, the Border Collie gene pool has been getting much smaller due to breeders using only a few sires to produce many puppies (and by many, I mean hundreds, it's sickening). I want to better the breed and help get back on track in a positive and responsible way, trying to build a line that is free of epilepsy (a huge problem arising in BCs) and other things caused by the fact that most breeders do not do health checks on any of their breeding stock and in turn are passing on many (some lethal) issues.
I plan to be recognized more of a performance breeder, breeding exception Border Collies for herding, agility, flyball, obedience, rally, etc. Just about anything... except conformation... I don't like the ""standard" for AKC Barbie Collies... I mean Border*.
I do *NOT* plan to breed for a few years if at all if things don't go as planned.
I also plan to not breed often. Only when I am looking to add another pup to my household.
Oddly enough, I already have people emailing me to be on a puppy list for my first litter... Which I've repeatedly explained I do not plan on having for a few years, if that.
So there you have it, my real life crew site.
This is my first website in a few years so suggestions on the layout and such will be appreciated.
