Hmm, I don't know then. I would contact EA and see if they could help you with that.

I've been having that problem intermittently the last few times that I played but it normally fixes itself after restarting the launcher so I don't have much to suggest other than what you've already tried. :/ Some people have suggested reinstalling Origin if I remember correctly. I haven't tried that yet myself.
Where did you purchase the packs from? I've seen the problem mentioned on the official forum for seemingly two reasons: One being a fairly common occurrence for people on patch 1.69 like me, which is normally fixed with a restart or two some people have had keys revoked if they were purchased from an unauthorised key seller, even if it was purchased some time ago. If you bought them from Origin, Amazon (not the marketplace), or Steam that shouldn't be the problem. eBay key sellers or other "grey" market places might be.

I don't play these games, but if you're an Elder Scrolls Legends, Elder Scrolls Online, or Quake Champions player, don't forget BE3 is this Sunday! (Well, in my time zone it is.)
Bethesda is giving away a bundle of in-game goodies for all three games (re: ice wolf mount for ESO!) this Sunday during their BE3 conference on Twitch. There appears to be some hoops to jump through, but I know MMORPG mount collectors will do practically anything for a mount, so check the details here: bethesda.net/en/article/3K92m0xeUMyqKEuQ8sUqSw/announcing-our-be3-twitch-extension(In the meantime, I'll just, wheeze, be hyperventilating inside this giant paper bag waiting for the Fallout reveal...)

MINECRAFT - Help ME Please. ;D
Recently my 8 year old is quickly becoming a Minecraft junkie... and she's dragging me along for the ride. I find it insanely unorganized. She watches youtube videos for guidance, however I search the old fashioned way and get almost nowhere. I've spent days trying to understand how/where to download and install maps/worlds/textures/mods... *screams*
I've done it in virtual life games for years, including all of the Sims games, as well as Petz, Babyz etc... but Minecraft seems a bit harder to search. The basic PC game is quite fun, but apparently not enough to keep the *Bootzinator* happy. LOL (my granddaughter - nicknamed Bootzie)
If anyone here is a Minecrafter, I sure could use some simplified help.

I've only ever played the Xbox Live version, so I'm not too sure about PC download/mods. I do know that getting into Minecraft is kinda confusing since there's no actual in-game instructions. I had to go onto some Minecraft wiki in order to figure out basic stuff lol

To install resource packs (textures):
Assuming you have already downloaded a resource pack!
1. Run the game.
2. Click "Options" at the main menu.
3. Click "Resource Packs..." at the options menu.
4. Click "Open Resource Pack Folder" at the Select Resource Packs menu.
5. Drag your downloaded resource pack(s) into the folder that just opened.
6. Restart the game.
7. Repeat steps 2 and 3. Your resources packs should now appear under "Available Resource Packs".
8. Hover over the one you want to use and click on the right arrow that appears. The resource pack you clicked on should now be on the right-hand column.
9. If the resource pack is NOT at the top of the list in the right-hand column (above the default pack), click on the little up (or down) arrow and position it to the TOP of the list.
10. Press Done. Your game client may flicker as the new resource pack takes effect.
Note: If you're using a resource pack which is out of date, any textures added in the latest version of Minecraft will appear as default textures, since there are no new textures to overwrite them. This also applies to mods which use their own textures for custom blocks and items.
Mods can definitely seem a little complicated. The big things to keep in mind are 1) Mods MUST match the version number of the game you're playing (if you want to use out-of-date mods, you'll have to set up an older version of the game in the launcher options), and 2) You must download and install all required mod co-dependencies (i.e. Forge installer, "core" mods). When you download a mod, the author should tell you if you need to install anything else somewhere on the download page.
Which mods are you trying to install specifically? Maybe I (or someone else if they beat me to it) can walk you through it. It's been a few years since I've played, but I have the game installed currently and could try to get them working on my end.

I used to write mods in Java long ago for Minecraft; they were all really stupid and silly. I used to know all sorts of Minecraft hacks but I haven't played the game in 5 years so I've forgotten everything!
But yeah, everything is youtube videos! It's so annoying! I had to learn to write mods by watching videos. No one wanted to write? I like reading please.

@kas - You have made one 8 year old so happy! Why oh why couldn't I find instructions that made it that simple. She practically freaked when she saw all the fluff in the candy resource pack I downloaded. ^Thor - Dang! That's impressive! I like reading too.
