lol, yeah, uh, I've still been taking Spanish and even with a good grade in the actual class, it's safe to assume if I was shipped off to a Spanish speaking country, I would have no idea what to do. ;_;
I'm.. not a language person, I think, which saddens me greatly because I would love to learn a foreign language properly.

I've been speaking fairly decent french since I was 13, I was ahead of my class since when I went to high school I started in French 2 and had honers french as a Junior but I've forgotten a lot of it since then, I try to use it everyday lol. Plus it's hilarious when I say something and everyone makes the confused face . It always came pretty easily to me too, I just knew it weirdly enoughI've been slowly learning Italian also It's the language I really wanted to learn, I think it sounds so pretty <3 and since I was in french there was a rivalry between us and the spanish class kids so I've never learned spanish lmao...

Why did I not see this poll earlier? D:
I speak English, Spanish, and relatively basic German.
I dunno how many people knew that or not, but yanno :3 English is my first language. If I can recall correctly, I think I actually learned German before Spanish ~ my father was stationed in Stuttgart for a good portion of time, thus, German was a necessity. I only know the basics of the basics - numbers, people [their titles.. Frau, etc], please & thank you, and simple sentences like 'he drinks water'. Spanish came when I extended my horizons [when I was a small child] & met people [taking it later on in school helped, too.] and I kinda love it. If I was thrust into a Spanish-Speaking country, I think I'd do well in being able to communicate. People who I know tell me that if you go to a country, whether or not you knew the language prior to going, you'll pick up the basics within two weeks. And that is something that I'd like to test out for myself :3
I do also know some Japanese [lolololz, anime & manga], but not actual conversational Japanese, so it doesn't count. (:
I love languages. :D

A lot of English, ein bisschen Deutsch och liten Svenska I know a few words in Swahili and Japanese, but nothing to uphold conversation with. Been teaching myself Swedish and it's really easy. Easier than German by far XD A good language test is to watch spanish tv If you kind of get some of what they say, you're doing pretty good. I will admit that trying to listen for words I could recognize is hard as they talk very quickly.

English et français. Mais, mon français n'est pas TRÈS bon. xD I kinda had to learn French to live with my wife here. xD I can write/read/speak it, but people talk way too fast for me sometimes. xD Not even a 'Tu parle trop vite pour moi D:' works a lot of the time. xD
But then again, I get told I'm speaking too fast for some of the people here when they talk with me in English. xD I think it's the same for everyone.

I took about five years of French and can't remember a single word of it, haha. I can partially understand French but I suppose if I ever heard 'real' French (aka not really badly learned French) then I would be totally lost. I can usually follow it but you ask me to speak it, that isn't happening ever again.
I've known Polish since I was born but I stopped speaking it a few years ago and never got back into it. I still know it, can read it, understand it but I don't really speak it. I do know how to and whenever somebody makes a comment about me needing to speak it more, I get more stubborn about it, haha. But, because I understand Polish, I can understand similar languages like Croatian or Russian so that makes for interesting eavesdropping.

My first language is English. I've almost figured it out. I took Spanish for five years, so yo hablo un poquito de espanol. Desafortunadamente, yo olvido mucho vocabulario Aaaand I studied abroad in Germany for a semester and took another semester of German. So ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch. Aber, wie mit Spanisch, ich vergesse viel Wortschatz. Somehow I remember grammar pretty well in both languages though o.O Not in English though. Of course.

I'm fluent in English and Spanish. I'm proficient in French--I can hold a conversation and read and write pretty much fluently, but I'm not at the point I'm ready to call myself fluent. I can read and speak a little Old English/Anglo-Saxon (As in, I don't mean Shakespeare language. Real Old English.) I understand and can read Italian, but I've never formally learned it, so I can't write or speak much. Currently, I'm learning Farsi. And that pretty much sums it up!
