Petz Color Chart:
Hexers: don't steal other people's work!
While we, the mod team, cannot be expected to police every file out there, there is a reasonable expectation that requests granted here should be the hexer's own original work.
Basing your work on existing hexed breed files or turning breeding experiments into breed files for use as hex painting/brexing (hexing a bred pet) is considered extremely rude to the original creator. This should only be done if you have the creator's express permission to do so (which is rare) with full credit up front, so people know what they are getting. Just saying that you have permission is not enough -- you must be able to provide verifiable proof of it if anybody asks.
People come to Hex Requests for something truly unique and in your own style. Long-standing members of the community can easily see when an existing breed file has been used, and you will be looked down upon as a creator as a result.
- Please do not PM people asking them to hex for you.
- You are not allowed to double-post in this board.
- You are allowed to make only one request per post.
- Be polite and patient. Make your request, and then wait patiently. Any badgering about when your pet will be ready is considered impolite.
- A hexer's work is their own. If someone hexes something for you, please respect their wishes. This may include keeping a prefix if they ask you to, or not copying or hexing from their files without their permission.
- Once your request has been completed and you're happy with the results, please edit the subject to "PLEASE MOD DELETE".
- And remember: a friendly attitude and a thank you goes a long way...
How to post your request:
- State which version of petz you use in the subject title.
- State the level of difficulty of your request (hard, intermediate, or easy) in the subject title.
- Be specific. Say what you want. A vague request is harder to follow, so remember to say what breed you'd prefer, the colours you like, what you want looks-wise.
- While being specific, state whether you mind a little creativity on the part of the hexer. Sometimes, when doing a request, people like to 'try things out' that weren't necessarily asked for, but that might make the pet look that extra bit special.
- Please copy/paste and fill out the request form below in your post:
