LOL, I'm totally being lazy if I use PetzA. Honestly? Whenever you say, "I don't mean to offend anyone" you know you're going to, so don't say it. I use PetzA when I do not have time, because school is more important to me than a GAME.
I do have a few petz on my laptop that I raise naturally because I have time at school in between classes. Other than that, I usually just take out petz and play. I'm sorry I'm not 12 years old and don't have to worry about school and my future and can focus entirely on Petz.

Even at 13 I don't have the time to raise all my petz naturally and without petzA. -shrug- I've got to focus on school, work, and I do try and maintain my (pathetic excuse) for a social life, too! I play with my petz to relax and unwind, and it's more convenient for me to have the ability to feed them/keep their needs met by the click of a button instead of adding little frustrations to my playing time like dealing with feeding picky catz or dogz who can't get to their bowls unless I go to the desktop.
I do raise petz naturally on occasion, but I usually don't. Kudos to those who can.

I use petzA when I get busy with life but I like to play naturally when I get the chance. Honestly, the Petz game is a stress reliever for me. A chance to get away from all my real life University responsibilities, if only for a few hours. My interest comes and goes. I took a two year long hiatus my senior year of high school. It's just one of those things.

It has been in phases for me. I think if you owned a game for a while it's only natural to have lulls. It also depends on my current game obsessions, if I'm obsessing over SimCity 4, Sims 2 or WoW then Petz takes a back seat for a while as I like having Petz run in the background while I'm surfing the net and I play with them in little 10 minute sessions. I do get a lot of enjoyment out of playing with them and just watching them goofing around. For me it's a good way to unwind without having to think too much. lol
I do prefer playing with them properly with feeding, grooming etc. but of course I wouldn't say I never use PetzA as sometimes I find myself concentrating on one or two pets and I might not have enough time to make it up to the others. Then it's invaluable. Also sometimes I just open the game to test new downloads; toys etc. and forget to use my test profile so it's useful to check for neglect in that case.
In a similar way that in The Sims it's more satisfying to earn the money for house upgrades sometimes it's fun to just use the cheat for a big lump of cash and build your Sim the house of his/her dreams. Giving you freedom to concentrate purely on designing something instead of worrying about your Sim skilling up or earning promotions. It's just a different way to enjoy the game the same way that PetzA enables people to enjoy other aspects of the game like breeding, hexing etc without being bogged down by having to watch their needs and neglect all of the time. The beauty of this game is that we have several different ways to enjoy playing it.

@ Siamese lol I horribly neglect my pets because I have to use petz A. I play with them but I have no time to feed them all. I much rather prefer using petz A so I can focus on science fair and my exams. I don't really have enough time as the school I go to very involves us leaving us little time to have fun but has amazing scholar ship opportunities and I would rather work on writing as I want to be a writer.

Lol I have a Mac. I don't have the time/will to get bootcamp or anything so I don't bother. I miss Petz in the sense that I see these awesome hexies and I remember being a "hexer" and not actually being able to hex at all haha but now I'm sure I'm even worse ):
But as a game, I've lost interest altogether :/

I play/feed/groom/breed with all of my pets. I don't know much about it, but I think PetzA was a stupid invention. Petz is a GAME.What is the point of a game that you don't play properly? I don't mean to offend anyone, but I think that your should hae fun with your petz and not be lazy in taking care of them; that's part of the fun. I was like that when I was younger. I remember going out with my dad to the store once, then coming back to the computer and being HORRIFIED that I left the game up and my mutt was scratching at the door to be let out. :c Now I just get annoyed when I'm working with another dog and that happens and am like NO YOU CANNOT COME OUT LISTEN TO MASTAH NECO. We all play the game differently - telling that another person is being lazy because they don't play the way you want to is going to offend people and cause arguments. There is no WRONG way to play Petz - it's an open ended, open world type of game that you can do whatever you want in, however you want to do it. There is no right or wrong way to play this game; there's only the opinion of it. Is it wrong that I use PetzA on my pets to feed them or cure their sickness when I just wanna play with them? Is it wrong that I leave the game up while I'm working just so I can hear Loki & co wreaking more havoc on my desktop in the background but don't interact with them? Of course not. We all play differently and on some level, we all take comfort from it. I bought Petz because I couldn't own a pet when I was 12 - now I have Kitta but I still play the game because I love it. That doesn't mean I love my real dog any less; Petz has become a huge part of my life over the past 10+ years so I play it to relax and wind down after a stressful day. I play less than I used to because I'm busier now, but I will still bring out Loki and lol at his stupidness. It just makes me happy.

omg Kari!?!?!
Anyway, petzA is actually needed if you want petz to work on a newer computer, so I think it's great!

^ !!! Haha yeah I don't think I've properly played since 07? perhaps even earlier. It was mostly for the breeding or hexing for me. PetzA is gold! You can't be a hexer without it. And I don't think any of the original creators would be offended if they knew (and they do know) that we all use PetzA, so we shouldn't be either!
