Just out of pure curiosity! What bribes do you use to persuade people to pass over much-wanted petz to you?
I know a lot of people refuse to make any sort of effort towards a pet, feeling that it's wrong to ask for much in return for a pixel. However I, like others, feel that hexing/breeding = time, and so it's therefore worth having & spending time on obtaining.
I've traded pretty much everything in the past to get hold of wishlist petz; chocolates shipped over to the USA via airmail, waja credits/cwp, PA purchases (if the tradee didn't have enough money for something on there/wasn't able to wait for the auction to end), neopoints, hexies/bred petz, apps, art, amazon/play.com purchases, even real cash once or twice.
So what's your limit when you desperately want a certain pet? Do you feel that an application is your absolute limit, and that should be good enough for the person? Or are you a bit nuts (like me) about your petz collection and offer your entire wares to persuade a person to hand over a much-desired pixel?

I just offer custom petz to people (or about.. 1/2 people.. as i don't adopt out). I don't offer my files or no one wants them, so I just hex them what they like..

Chocolate... I would so hex for chocolate...
Generally, I'm willing to customize hexies or do a complete hex request, draw art, or write an app if I want a pet. I've never really spent any money on a pet, but I think that they can be worth spending currency on, more so than other games, because: - Time is put into hexing, not often auto-generated. - Greater possibility for creativity/uniqueness. - They move around your computer screen. It's lively. - There are obviously limits on what can be hexed, but in theory you could create anything. - The community is still alive & strong after who knows how long.

I'd never spend money on a pet, mainly because I've got other things I NEED to spend it on. All my money goes on transport, dinner, books, paper, etc. It's just... eh, another thing that's wasteful to me? Most of the purely entertainment things I own, were bought by other people. I'm stingey like that. The only thing I'll fork out for, are my Terry Pratchett books.
Everybody needs a little obsession, right? xDD
Yeah... I'll write apps, stories, poems, draw for the person, breed like mad and once or twice, hex. I'm terrible at hexing, though... so I really CAN'T offer much of that. I'd give Waja Credits too, if I had any. I WILL give wajas away, though. I don't play that often, anymore, and I have over 200 wajas.

I write apps, breed, and occasionally hex for people. I have done a waja's trade with joy in the past and have tons of waja credits for trading and two caves of wajas that I don't play with I have to get rid of LOL I must find people who wants them D= O___O;;

I won't trade anything "real", such as money or items that you can actually hold in your hands. Trading money can get you into trouble in some cases, so best not to, if you ask me.
I won't trade Neopoints because that's against their site rules.
But I have no qualms trading WC/Wajas or other online currency for certain pets, I've done it in the past and will do it again. ^^ If I have a certain pet that they'd like, I'll also trade that.

I don't think I'd ever give people real money or items mainly because I don't think I'd be able to afford to do that, and also because I wouldn't ever want to give away too much personal info to have things mailed, etc. Buuut... other than that if there's something I really want, I'd pretty much be willing to give anything vertual to them. If they play DS, I have somethings like Aninal crossing's 'bells' (or money), waja credits, possible neopet points even though it's technicly against their rules.. heh .. depending on how much I wanted that pet, I guess), other bred/hexed pets, and art work such as drawings, signatures/avatar, etc. After I spend time on hexing something, or if I really like something that I made because of the idea behind it, it I think it's really cool to see some one put a lot of effort into trading for it, and it makes it ..... worth it? I don't know. But I think it's nice to get something for a pet you've worked hard on.... ... Plus, it's more rewarding to get that pet that you wanted when you had to work for it in the first place. If everything was free... what fun would that be?!

I try to write really good apps. I write stories, or poems. I've also hand drawn pictures in paint and on paper. Made Av's and Signatures. Offered up cool looking bred petz. Offered up my hexies. I've also offered up some of my prized petz.

lol Ericka, I'll take your Wajas ; DDD
I've written apps and everything for petz, but mostly I'll trade in either graphics [sigs/avs/customs] or in bred pets, since I'm not a very skilled hexer. The most I can really do is merles rofl. I'm also quite willing to trade WC for hexies too, since I just popped back into Wajas recently and have something like 45 million WC I'm not doing anything with lololol.

^ Neco, you just gave me the most awesomest idea..I will have to pm you about it later.
And I have the same problem, I'm not playing wajas much either at the moment because of my opinions of them right now. Just a bit..irritated..with the way certain things have been handled. But I have a -bunch- of wajas and a lot of wc just sitting there waiting for me to use them in some fashion.

Honestly if I desperately want a pet I will offer just about anything. The only thing is idk about sending things like through the mail? I mean I guess I could, I've just never sent something like that far haha. So idk what to do XD
But I mean I've spent money on Wajas (which I'm not happy with atm >_>) and so why not spend money on Petz? Because honestly I like petz more and it's the one game I always return to. Petz makes me happy sooo if there is one I really want, I don't feel bad about spending money on it as long as it's not like a ridiculous price. People spend lots of money on other hobbies so i don't see the problem on spending money on a hexie I really want!
I mean I won't spend like $40 on a hex but still.
I'm also all for trading WC and CWP (or other Wajas stuff) for petz because if someone doesn't want a petzy trade in return than I have an alternative to trade them for.
Like there are a couple hexies I think I would do just about anything for though. And darn you Loxie for hexing all these new files that I have to add to that list XD
Also I find that bred trades can be just as good as hexed trades sometimes but I don't think many people know that I breed? I guess I should do it more often haha. But really bred pets can be valuable and they can take time and effort too especially if you are breeding for something specific.
I wish more people took bred petz for hexies =[. Cuz I don't think my hexies are fantastic so sometimes when I really want a hex, I don't ever like request to trade with the person cuz I feel like I don't have any hexies that match the one I want from them? So then idk what to offer D=. And some people get offended by the whole money for petz thing so I'm afraid to ask =X.

There are a good few hexers who take bred petz for hexies! Myself, Amber, sometimes people like Jesi who prefer bred petz to add to their lines. Honestly, I'm picky, but show me some pretty labs, danes, daschies or dalis and I'm putty. Haha.
I'd never ask for money for a pet though. I'd happily give it for OMFGWISHLIST stuff, but it's rare. & I'd never ask for it as a trade myself.

If its a pet that I really want, I normally write a nice long app, offer bred petz, or sometimes write a short little story. :3 Trades are always kind of tricky for me, because I'm not really much of a hexer (I guess I can mod things alright, but I fail at paintballing), and I can't draw to save my life. D: I always feel like whatever I offer isn't really up to the caliber of the pet that I'm applying for, so I mostly just end up pouring my heart out in the app and hoping its enough. :3

I prefer to offer up a good application, however if I truly want the pet, I will offer artwork or trades. It honestly depends on what the person asks for. If they want an application only, then I'll give them that. If they want a trade only, I usually add in a sentence or two along with a trade. Nobody has yet to ask for money so I don't know but I might be willing. I find it a bit extreme but I can compare it to giving money to sites such as Dog Dayzz in exchange for an upgraded account. I would do that if I had the cash to spare but, unfortunately, I don't. I have yet to see a hex that I would offer money for when I know there is always an option to trade for. But yeah. I'll give what they ask for.

Well I guess it's more that people don't really consider me one of the like great breeders or whatever but when I want to, I can breed just about anything. It's just that I've been doing less of it cuz I always end up keeping way too many for myself whenever I breed lmfao.
And I can write pretty decent apps.
For the stuff on my wishlist that is like OMFGWANT, I'll offer anything. And even like so much WC + 1 hexie + 5-10 bred petz or something. I think that evens it up and seems pretty fair. But some people are hard to pry from lol
