Brindle: Merle: B & W Spotted/Harlequin: Liver-ticked: Speckled: Tricolor: Black/Liver and tan: Black and white: Blenheim: Completely disregard which colors and patterns are available for which breed. Pretend that your favorite dog breed in the world could come in any one of these colors or patterns and still be a purebred, showable, etc. n_n That aside, I hope I didn't forget any colors! I feel like I missed something ...

Personally I prefer whatever pattern is typical for German Shepherds, but Speckled is nice too. Black and tan esp. on dobermans and rottwiellers I find scary looking though.

I'd have to say merle, closely followed by the harlequins! I'm a sucker for a unique looking dog<33

You forgot one of my all time favourites : Grizzle (sable).
Anyways, my favourite colour is a tie between three: Grizzle (grey base, like Elkhounds), Black (with or without white markings), and Brindle (black brindle, with or without white markings). The first thing about my dogs that caught me was their colours (first site - Char is a grizzle, Meelah is a Sable) and then getting to know them, their personalities.

^ Aaaaah, I almost put sable. I'm actually not familiar with it, though, and decided not to at the last moment because I thought it was a solid color. xP

Brindleeee<3
I'm obsessed with it on Boxers, and my favorite dog at the rescue I volunteer walk at, is a black/brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, with brindle legs/ears/tail, but a black saddle<3333.

Prolly Soild. Poodles, in my opinion, look bad in anything but.

Woah, that's completely ironic! Just afew hours ago, I was in our local Petland looking at the puppies when I noticed one of the puppies, a Dachshund, had one misted over blue-ish eye and a solid brown one.
Other than that, the dog looked normal. Josh (who was with me) came up behind me and I pointed out the one blue eye, saying that he's either got heterochromia or some kind of cataract. The lady who worked in the puppy section piped in told us the little Doxie was simply a 'dapple'.
I walked away going "What's a dapple? I've never heard that before."
Now I know. XD
