Sorry if the question is vague, if people think of a better title please to tell! [and sorry if this has been brought up before, as far as I'm concerned I haven't seen it before]
So are you picky about what you eat, or do you shove whatever's put in front of you in your mouth?
second, why are you picky? Do you have a sensitive stomach, lactose intolerant, or you just don't like those foods? What can't you stand about foods you can't eat?
I'm relatively picky; Healthwise, I only eat organics bought from the local farmer's market or the organic grocery stores (and I don't need to worry about the 'organic' label... I am in Berkeley/hippie town, after all). I'm also lactose intolerant, and cannot eat dairy foods. I grew up on a cattle ranch and after being the nerdy little girl, befriending all the cows, I couldn't bring myself to eat them.. Plus I dislike the taste. I also can't eat foods with too much taste; I get an upset stomach.
Choose one from #1-#5, and up to 3 from #6-#21 (;
[side note: I don't mean to offend anyone by the examples put after each choice. I just wanted to clarify some of the more confusing ones by putting examples of foods commonly seen as those choices. I'm so sorry if you're offended!]

Very picky: the taste/texture matter the most to me. I can't eat hamburgers because they have little bits of fat in them. 'Cuz of that texture, I can't eat sausages or mince either.
Mostly it's the taste, for me, though.

I love to cook and try new foods, especially with the boyfriend. We're our own "Hell's Kitchen". Lol. However, I have nut allergies which means I have to be very, very careful when eating out at restaurants, especially desert items.
I also can't eat certain meats... like veal. I know pretty much no cattle that are raised for slaughter are "humanely" treated, but there's something about a baby animal being tied to a pole to soften the muscles that just strikes a nerve in me. =P Also, I refuse to eat rabbit, mutton and venison. I grew up in Wisconsin near a wooded area, and my brother and I actually got so close to a group of does (female deer) that we could hand-feed a few of them with old carrots and such. Every guy I know hunts, but I just can't do it. =S Ick.

I'm willing to try just about anything you put in front of me. I'm not a picky eater by any stretch of the imagination until it comes to desserts because I don't like cooked fruit.
The color, taste and health of the foods is also important to me, though not so important I won't grab a hot dog from a street vendor. In fact, some of the best foods can be found in little hole in the wall restaurants and street vendors..and it's a heck of a lot healthier and tastier than your average fast food.
On the same note, I also have allergies to several foods. So I do have to watch what I eat for that. Something in ice cream bothers me, citrus (especially oranges), and acids.

If I don't like it, I won't eat it. Why would I? I'm not starving (and for that matter I'm probably not all that hungry anyway).
I also go through cycles were I'll get a favorite food and eat it all the time, every chance I get. Most fast-food and restaurants I've got a regular for.
Outback Steakhouse = Salmon [and cheese/bacon fries as an appetizer]. McDonalds = Plain cheeseburger. Taco Bell = Cheesy Fiesta Potato Bowl with extra sour cream. Quiznos and Subway = Toasted turkey and mayonnaise with white cheese and bacon.
Etc.

I am very, very picky. I won't eat most of the foods at school. I don't eat cow. And I hardly eat pig. And I hate most of my family's cooking. It's not too good. I usually cook cause I am beyond picky. And I can't stand mash patatoes with lumps in them. I will gag. I think its cause the way I am brought up. Lol.

I'm incredibly picky.. I must smell all new foods before I'll eat them... I'll eat some foods raw and won't touch them if they are cooked (onions for example), getting me to try something new is not easy, I don't like the texture of meat.. I like the flavor but I will pick the meat out of my chicken soup or stew, if my rice dries out I won't eat it and I'll NEVER re-heat it, I don't do leftovers, if it's whole grain I won't touch it (the grains are scratchy!)... it goes on.
The evil three are green peppers, (cooked) onions and mushrooms.. if there are in a dish.. forget it.
My mom told me that when I was a baby she would cry daily because she thought I was going to die because I wouldn't eat anything XD.
BUT.. according to my friends, the food I do like are odd XD. Olives, avocados, lima beans, green beans, garbanzo beans, Brussels sprouts, asparagus... Mmmmmm <3

I didn't used to be too picky, if it tasted good I'd eat it. But with my recent health problems (gall stones x_o) I have to be extreeeeeeeemely careful with fat content. Which is great for my diet, but I miss tempura ;___;

i am very picky. if there is nothing i like i just wont eat. but i also have a sensitive stomach. i'm lactose intolerant and for some reason my stomach can't handle meat well.. the only meat it can handle is chicken. so no more steak for me. :-(
i don't eat sandwiches.. i don't like bread.. it's weird.. like i can't eat bread unless it has butter on it or unless it was grilled or toasted.
i stay away from veggies.. some are just really gross and they upset my stomach. :-(
i like pasta. lots of it. no fish please though. lol.
so yeah.. i'm pretty limited as to what i can eat.. >.<
it kind of sucks.. like.. i can't eat out unless i know i am going to be going right home because my stomach is just so sensitive.. and i have no idea why.. >.<

Mine would probably beeee...
Allergies [peanuts, lactose, etc] - Although its not a huge allergy, i do have to avoid foods with to much colouring, i mean a little is fine, but if i say only ate yellow wine gums for a whole day it would cause me problems and i would probably scratch my skin off xD Its mainly the yellow food colouring...
The texture of the food [slimy, crunchy, etc] - i HATE some food because of its texture, so i wont touch it, like for example, i HATE trifle, gah its texture of the soggy bread and the cream and the jelly all mixed together is RANK...
Bad experiences with foods [choking, etc] - I don't eat foods that i have had a bad experience with, like vimto(or anything with blackcurrant in) or chicken soup, just the smell of it these days makes me want to gag.
Pretty picky, but if I have to I'll eat things - But only if I'm like out with somebody, and they order it or they are paying for it etc, but generally i order what i like... if I'm at home, i make what i like or if my mum cooks then she knows what not to give me. If i don't like it... i feed it to the chickens xD

I am extremley picky. Foods cant touch, but sometimes they can, like in a roast dinner or bacon sandwich. I hate a lot of foods and when I eat out I usually have chicken nuggets and chips xD

I picked I like most things, because I do. I have a few dislikes that I absolutely will not touch, but for the most part I'll eat anything. I've heard it has something to do with genetics on whether people like asparagus and brussel sprouts, because of a certain flavor they have, for some people it's too strong, but I love them! My twin brother can't stand them, even though we're twins we are almost opposite. (He's tall, blond, blue-eyed, whereas I'm short, brunette, green-eyed)
For my reasons of dislikes:
I chose that my food can't touch, I've gotten better over the years but when I was little I wouldn't eat anything that touched anything else on my plate. It makes me sick when I see people take their rolls and rub them all over their plate in vegetable juice and pasta sauce and whatever else and then eat them.
Textures: I can't stand pears, because they're kinda slimy with that gritty texture, it just doesn't work...
Taste: I'm not too picky on this because it's really broad, but generally I don't like things that are too strong or too bland or tomato sauces with no seasoning, I'll try it, but if I don't like it I'm not eating the rest of it.

reaaally picky, and i eat tiny amounts. taste really does matter, though i wish it didn't because it means i eat really unhealthily.
i go through stages of eating nothing then eating loads, it can be over days, weeks or months.
so sometimes, although i'm still picky, i'll eat absolutely loads of the things i like. other times i'll eat barely anything. i know it's a mental thing but not really sure how to control it!

For me, It doesn't matter as long as the food tastes good.
