I'm Ambidextrous, but like star, I usually rely on my right hand. But I am capable of writing with both hands, as well as doing just about anything with either hand, including drawing (though i do have a bit harder time with drawing left handed).

^ I hold my pen funny too! Do you by any chance when your write (thinks of it from a left pov) does your pen rest on your 2nd finger (next to your pinky) with 2 fingers on top and your thumb to the side of the 2 ontop? Just wondering, coz I'm always told i hold a pen really awkwardly and with a really tight grip, i was given these special 3 sided pens to try and 'correct' my grip, i mean if i can write, why do i need to change how i hold the pen? ^ I do that. It's because I'm dysgrafic though xD

Is that holding a pencil awkwardly? I hold it like that as well, but I never had any kind of crippling injury, haha. It's just comfortable (and now I don't get pains in my finger because I had an accident that shifted the bone so it's like a rest of my pencil). But I do notice I don't hold it the standard three fingers below, one on top way.

I show you: Excuse the JPGness. xP But yeah. That's how I hold it. I have absolutely no idea if that looks strange or totally normal to you or not, but other students are always noticing and going "Hey ... you guys. Look how weird Tori holds her pencil." And then they inevitably try and mimic my finger stance to see if they can write that way too. I remember in 1st grade the teacher's aid just about verbally beat the living crap out of me for being left handed (and was constantly forcing me to try and write with my right hand [to little avail, thank god]). It was awful. To this day, I have NO IDEA how being left handed could possibly be disabling. The only issue I have with it is that I always write on the far right hand side of my notebook paper from years of the spiral being in my way. (And for the record: Yes, I drew [and am in the process of coloring] that horse. I couldn't help but show off.) ^__^;;

^ Its beautiful!
Yeah, the correct way to hold a pencil is like a tripod grip (my mum used to own a Nursery school so they taught kids how to write)
^ Like this. Thumb and 2 fingers holding the pen.
But i hold mine like:
I don't use my thumb at all in the grip, its just kinda on top not doing anything. People used to mimic the way i held mine too, and i too had people trying to correct my hold as well as those stupid three sided pens which made no difference coz i can still hold my pen like that even if its only got 3 sides. They ended up giving up and saying it was to do with my Dyslexia... coz apparently my brain does not process things in a normal persons way, or so i have been told many times -rolls eyes-

Yesyes. That's how I hold my writing utensils. My third/fourth grade teacher had a fit. He kept giving me those pencil holders to keep your fingers in place, but I kept writing messy like that. I write fairly neat, just large. x3 My mom thinks it's totally weird that I hold my pencils and stuff like that, and just felt like reminding me right now that it's weird that I do that.

I use the tripod way to write with my left hand (it's very comfortable & stable) and I use Star's way (well, my thumb is on the pencil and being used, but still the same idea) for my right hand.

Left-handed I guess its just a thing that makes me a little bit more unique. I love being left-handed and I write like that too^ lol. The only thing thats hard is sometimes I smudge my own writing if I don't lift my hand from the paper.

I thought I as a special case or something xDD It hurts my 4th finger, cause I end up getting a little red dent in it.. fun Oh and I'm right handed n_n

The way I hold my pencil actually changes xD Sometimes it's the way star showed, sometimes it's the way Zekumi showed and other times it's resting on my middle finger (more like cutting into it) with my thumb balanced ontop.

Both hands... Not even going to ATTEMPT to spell the correct term for it. x3
I can write pretty well with my left hand, better with my right. The way I hold my pencil/pen varies; I can write in all the ways that people have shown so far, but I use the "tripod" grip more often.
