The new Polls board is to post questions that will interest, amuse, puzzle other members. It is not to post questions about yourself. If you are imaginative or creative, it can even become game-like, placing people in unusual situations, or even using data such as images, quotations, poetry, music, to document your questions.
- All polls must be about topics that are not directly related to you, the poster.
Example of polls that are not allowed:
Do you like me?
Which pet should I breed next?
How do you like my new [...]?
Etc...
(Except for "Do you like me?", you are allowed to post polls related to youself or your petz in other areas of the forum, such as the General board, Petz Talk & Help, etc).
Example of polls that are allowed:
What is your favorite [...]?
What is your least favorite [...]?
What would you do if [...]?
Have you ever [...]?
Etc...
- Besides the actual poll question, always type a subject that will clearly let people know what your poll is about.
Example of poll subjects that are not allowed:
Do you like this? (<-- what??)
What do you think? (<-- about what??)
What is your favorite? (<-- favorite what??)
Be specific both in your poll question AND thread subject.
- Do not set an expiration time for your poll unless it is directly relevant to your poll question.
- Do not select the option to show the poll's results when the poll is locked, because polls will normally not be locked unless it is directly relevant to your poll or that we deem it necessary.
- You ARE allowed to re-use ideas from other/previous polls posted by other members, as long as it's not exactly the same.
- Please keep in mind that we have young members in this forum.
Have fun!
