Okay, I have a question.
I've been using "brexies" to reference petz that were bred while using over-writing, hexed files. [For example, all of the KittyCat litters we've been seeing)
Have I been using it wrong this whole time? Or is this a case of one word meaning two different things? Because I'm pretty sure I've seen brexxing/brexing being used to mean this as well as editing .pet files.

Brexxing/brexing is taking a bred pet, opening it in PWS and changing things on it. So if I bred a giant Chin head Cali, I would go in and resize the head, maybe change colors, etc.
So you're hexing on a bred petz. The amount of changing can vary. I have a bunch of "ugly" bred petz that I plan on brexing to make them look nicer. But they wouldn't breed correctly, so it's labeled brexie so someone doesn't buy it thinking it's features can pass down.
Petz bred with OWs are just called OW petz. xD

I always thought PWS was only for breeds...Hmm...this opens up more options for me for something I might want to do...also I have at least one catz with a giant Chin head that could use some tinkering...XP What petzy word has 5 (or 6...but I think it was 5) letters, ends in O and has no other vowels? It's a word I lost in Hangman, and it's been driving me crazy because I can't figure out what it was. XD My guess is it's some kind of acronym, but I don't know what.

This might be a tall ask of sorts, since it's been used for so long in the PC, and I know it's not used in the same way but I think it's important to acknowledge, but g*psy is a slur against Romani women (you can find articles written by Romani women on the topic pretty easily); so maybe we could find an alternative to using it for the cat markings? Even if we just shorten it to "g markings" or something?

I hate that it's become a slur word. I always thought the word looked and sounded pretty, and I loved it for a pet name. I'm not so sure we could get rid of it as easily in the PC though, because you'd basically be asking everybody to change an old thing and I'm not sure it would be so easy. :\

People just didn’t start acknowledging it as a slur until more recently, you know? I say it’s worth it to get rid of it, even if it takes some work, in order to respect Romani people

(I’m not trying to sound aggressive or argumentative but I’m autistic and bad with tone, sorry ^^; ) I get that it would be hard to change, but I think it’s something important to try to do. It would be seen as completely unacceptable to have markings known by any other slurs, you know? I get that it’s a big change, but just because it’s a minority less often talked about, doesn’t mean slurs against them are any less important to acknowledge.

Okay so firstly, I probably shouldn't have derailed the original question by commenting on the word. I don't want to spark any kind of debate on that, so I'm just going to drop any further discussion of the word itself, except to apologize if I offended either of you. I certainly didn't mean it! That said... I get that it would be hard to change, but I think it’s something important to try to do. It would be seen as completely unacceptable to have markings known by any other slurs, you know? I get that it’s a big change, but just because it’s a minority less often talked about, doesn’t mean slurs against them are any less important to acknowledge. I do definitely get this, and I don't mind changing the name to something else personally, once we have something to work with. My original point in my post was just saying, I'm not sure it would be as easy as declaring a name change for something that's been in use for 10+ years. I was thinking though, and maybe you guys could start putting the idea of a name change into motion? It could actually be a lot of fun! Why not try and come up with a name you like better? Something fun, but easy to remember. Then maybe do some fun, interactive sort of things...you could breed your own line of these Catz, maybe make some showoffs/stories, or even do some adoptions or contests. (Like Gameplay Contests, for example!) Just kind of inspire the PC and get the hype of a new name out there, and see if it catches on! I think I've seen Catz with these markings around here and there, but not any 'pure' ones lately, that are sweet and simple, you know? Something like this could be a fun little project, I think! Anyway, something to think about! ^^

I'll have to think about doing something like that! Also, just to clarify as well, in my original post I wasn't trying to say it should just be "Oh we're calling it this now" and expecting everyone to switch to the new word immediately. I just meant that we should all try to make the effort to move away from using the slur, you know?

Yeah, that's kinda what I figured! ^^ I just wanted to be sure, because some people will actually do stuff like that. xDD First step to moving away from it is giving us something else to call it. I have no ideas myself, but if you guys come up with something, I'd be interested to know what you come up with!

What is brexing?

Brexing refers to hexing a bred pet, so it's like, when you breed something and then add hexed features to it. is a good example of a brexed pet, you can see has sheepdog halfie markings, dali spots and Dane bodyparts (and I believe Scottie ears?) and then he was brexed to have fancy textures and floof and stuff. I added it to the list, though I'm not sure if I have the authority to do so? Just wanted to help
