Hello! Most of you may have already seen the link in my signature, but just in case some were wary of clicking what they don't know, I thought I'd leave a little note about it here... Coffee Break is a writer's site. I'm a writer (pre-published), and like to communicate with other writers., so, there it is. If you want to read any of my work, I'll be putting alot of poetry on there soon, previously only seen on Lit.org. Also, if you'd like to contribute, send me an email, and we'll see what we can work out (*no monies will be paid!!*). The forum is always open, should you need advice, critique, or just want to shout about your latest literary masterpieces... One last thing, the url... Coffee BreakPs. Feel free to bookmark

Wow! I'm glad you liked it. Did you read the Life.com Extract? That's the first part of the story... Stephen King is my idol. I would love to spend a day in his head, just to see what he's dreaming up next! Which is your favourite Stephen King? I love 'IT'. Chilling stuff. [Edit]: If you're really interested in reading more of Love.com there are four more chapters posted on Lit.orgPrologueChapter 1Chapter 2Chapter 3Chapter 4Ps. I left direct links because it's kind of hard to find them in the right order...

Wow! I'm glad you liked it. Did you read the Life.com Extract? That's the first part of the story... I looked for more to read but could only find the Love.com excerpt (it was late and I was starting to fade...) I'll go back to read the other one too! He's my very favorite author. I think he's such a talented writer -- some people think he just writes horror, but you've got to read one of his books to understand what he's really all about. So deep. So funny. So everything A wonderful story-teller. My favorite novel by him? Mmmh... "It" was definitely a wonderful story. I also loved "Misery" and "Pet Sematary" (can never remember how to spell it wrong) which was the first novel I've ever read by him. I've read all of his books in French, when I was still in Switzerland, and now I'm re-reading them in English, to get the real thing

I was really busy yesterday improving navigation around the site and such. I did manage to upload some never before seen Shorts, and a Harry Potter Fanfic, which I'm quite proud of... Hope some of you manage to catch it, and let me know what you think... [Edit]: I just finished uploading a bunch of poetry...Am pooped! There would be more if I hadn't spotted a coding error which ran through most of the pages I'd already uploaded! Argh!!!

Do you know what that means??? I'm going to be finished by tomorrow night!!! ((Well, at the 50K mark, so that I can finish up the rest of my NaNovel at a more unhectic pace...)) Come to think of it, it hasn't been that hectic...just on some days I've had to really push myself to get something down, and some days I didn't manage it... My main concern at the beginning, rather than not finishing (because I planned a lot, and when i say I'm going to do something, I normally break my neck to get it done on time), was that my novel wouldn't be long enough to make 50K. But, I'm still only on Part 9 of twelve, and I can't see wrapping that up with in 4 thousand words. *L* I even had a contingency plan, in case I did finish the story in less than 50K, I was going to write in film scenes and tv footage of the star, y'know, fun indulgances to pad out my word count... Anyway, pointless waffling now. Come tomorrow: 50K of a bona fide novel with absolutely no shameless padding techniques employed what so ever! ;D ;D ;D

Hey, congratulations Jasmine! I'll have to get myself started someday... (always wanted to write a novel -- I should have taken the NaNoWriMo opportunity. Well, maybe next year.) I visited your NaNo site and found it interesting how you described each character and outlined each chapter. Are you always this organized when you write a novel? Or not necessarily? I've just read the first chapther of your NaNo novel, and now I want to know why he's impersonating his own son, talking to that other kid on the computer I'll have to go read more.

Hey, Thanks for checking it out, Ratqueen. It really means a lot to me. As far as planning goes, I find it very difficult to write spontaneously. It's like if I don't have at least a rough idea of which way I'm going, or what comes next, then I sort of lose heart, interest, whatever. In signing up for NaNo, I knew that I would have to have a very solid idea of everything, character development, backgrounds, plot, just to be sure of not fizzling out half way through. I spent most of October ironing out all the details. I'm really quite proud, as this is the first long piece that I've done which wasn't in some way based off of my life. Purely fictional, so yeah, it's a big acheivement. I mean, I know already that there are bits I don't like and need improving on, especially in the later parts, or on days where I had to make myself write, but, the point is it's there, it's workable. I would recommend NaNoWriMo to anyone who has aspirations to write. It's such a buzz, when you can say to yourself, "Yes, I really outdid myself today.", and although I don't have 50k just yet, I just know that I'm going to be smiling for days when I do. The atmosphere in the forums, in the October lead up at least (haven't really been there all through November, I've been good), is absolutely amazing. People are so supportive and ready to offer advice and encouragement. I'm so signing up for next year.

Thanks!
I've been thinking of doing a Win-a-site, but find it hard to get inspired about layouts for other people...especially if I don't know who's going to win it *D'oh!*
