Paint and Animation Shop 3
Animated Blinking
Tutorial written by: Kale
This tutorial covers making a very simple animation.
I use Jasc Animation Shop 3 to make my blinkies, and also Windows Paint.
NOTE: This is how I make blinkies. Other people use different methods.
---
Step 1: Open a petz picture in paint. I will use this one -
Step 2: Zoom in and add a little bit more to the petz eyelid. Save the picture with a different name when you have added a little bit. Add a bit more and save the picture, yet again with a different name. Keep doing this until you have drawn the eye shut completely.
Step 3: Open all the separate pictures in Jasc Animation Shop.
Step 4: Expand the original picture, by pulling the side to make it wider.
Step 5: Drag and drop the other pictures in the correct order into the blank boxes on the original picture.
Step 6: Ok, now after you have put the pictures in, you must open them all again, and add them all again to the original picture, but in REVERSE order. This gives the effect of the pet shutting then opening it's eyes.
Step 7: Right click on the first picture, and click "frame properties"
Step 8: You should change the display time to around 200 seconds, to give the animation a pause.
Step 9: Right click on any of the pictures and click "Animation properties"
Step 10: Click looping and check the box that says "Repeat animation indefinitely"
Step 11: Save the animation, when all those boxes come up, just keep clicking next.
The Finished Result! Your blinkie pet! Ready for your website!
