I wasn't sure if this was the right place to stick this thread so if not, could a friendly mod move it? ;D I get lost in this place very easily.
Anyway, as I completely fail at hexing, the only thing I can really do to contribute to my game is to make playscenes. I used to have a reasonable desert oasis one from my early days of digital art but it was lost in the Great Hard Drive Fail of 2010 and I haven't got round to making it again.
Oooh wait, I have a screenshot of it - I don't know what happened to that lovely appie either - someone on another forum hexed it for me but it disappeared in the hard drive meltdown too.
First up's a fairly boring looking scene, just a field/hill but it's perfect for a good game of fetch, training or breeding as there are no real distractions to be had and it takes up most of the screen too. The grass texture is from one of my own photos and the rest is just drawn in on GIMP.
I made this one for the few equines I have and want to make a loosebox version soon so it looks like the inside of an actual stable rather than just outside it. Again, looooads of ledges and hanging spots - health and safety be damned, if I want flashing lights and open flames beside hay, so be it! Most of the textures are from the game but some (like the floor) are from my photos.
Empty -
Full. XD
This one's my favourite though. I used textures and stuff from the game so it would fit in with the overal petzy look and has more ledges than you can shake a stick at! (seriously, if it's horizontal it's probably a ledge. XD) The cupboards are just decorative unfortunately - if I knew how to animate them I would.
Now for the vet surgery. I started this one last night and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Lots of ledges, a dripping tap and even a lightbox that reveals an xray. (that bit looks better revealed than 'dark' though )
The table is made up of multiple ledges so you can put all sorts of stuff on it - same with all the worktops and shelves. The noticeboard and cupboards are all hangable too - in fact, both walls are but it sometimes takes a bit of time to get stuff to stick I've found.
I fail at perspective so apologies for all the wonky angles. I'll do it properly next time! ;D
Sorry Spook but you need your check-up!
So yeah, that's all I've got so far. Any ideas/requests welcomed and if anyone wants a copy of any of these ones let me know.
